Amartey in a squad that Fatawu isn't good enough for.   Ghana must be the flat earth society of the football world.

Fatawu apparently rejected a call up.

Also vastly different positions, Fatawu playing where Ghana happen to have a lot of talent.

Apart from they play in very, very different positions Fatawu made the decision not to go to AFCON.

If the injury to Ndidi isn’t too bad that’s a huge result for us.

suspect its enough for the nigeria manager to think hes not worth taking a punt on, cos theyd rather have fully fit squad ready to go than take some injured players

They play in different positions?  Who would have thought that?   Thanks, guys.

Joking aside though, Ghana do have some good wide players. He’d only be making up numbers, as they typically play Ayew, Kudos, Paintsil, Semenyo or Ayew behind Williams.

Have we seen Maresca use some of the dark arts of Football management here, little muscle injury keeping a couple of players out of a game we didn't really need them in, just enough to cast doubt over their participation in a tournament that would see them out of action for weeks. Game coming up at the weekend that they could still be "injured" for without it having an impact on us and then another week "recovering" and then miraculously they are both fine for the Coventry game?

I think it’s exactly this. If we play Ipswich with just Daka missing, we’ve played a blinder here lol

Well the players would also need to be on board with not going for this to work.

Looks like the players are 100% on board with Enzo.....Team building at it's finest 👌

Brussell Fartin said Joe Aribo will be available until after their game against Sheffield Wednesday on 13th Jan, that's very surprising. Wilf sadly is now out for a sustained period of time but odd how Nigeria might let their players go very later but Daka already had to go 2 weeks beforehand.
