Stewards been dishing out penalties for that exact situation all afternoon. Even if you think you're right, how daft to not give it back as was obviously going to go against them.

First time I watched it, I thought Verstappen forced Norris off but in the replay, Norris seemed to have gone very deep and looked a little out of control.

Max keeps getting away with this stuff. Ridiculous decision goes his way yet again

He pushes the limits and is well aware of the rules. He has a ruthlessness that others don’t have. I think Hamilton is a much better driver than Verstappen but Verstappen is an absolute winner, and Norris needs to find that dog in himself.

Why do so many people not rate Lando Norris? Feels like he gets a lot of stick as though a better driver would have walked the title. I thought he slightly edged Sainz, put Ricardo into decline and has so far been better than Piastri.

It's like people forget Verstappen is meant to be the generational talent, already has 3 titles and a team that centres him and is procedurally better than Macca.

For me he's the 2nd best driver behind Max with Leclerc 3rd. Will be interesting next year where the cars end up performance wise. Hamilton is a bit of a wildcard. I feel like he's more likely to be a flop than a success at Ferrari because he just doesn't like these heavy cars and a new team and good teammate plus his age will all be against him.

Sport is a game of opinions but Lando as the second best driver is a surprise. What had given you that opinion. His starts are terrible and he’s not great defending under pressure. He makes a lot of smaller basic errors, which at the highest level of sport is unacceptable

Mostly his consistent pace and racecraft. I'm just not sure who else is ahead of him. You could argue Leclerc and I wouldn't really see that as too controversial. You could also probably argue Sainz but I think that's a stretch.

Hamilton right now is not performing consistently. Russel is just objectively worse. Less consistent and his mistakes tend to be bigger.

Perez definitely not. Piastri is consistently a bit slower with the occasional better race. I can understand people thinking Piastri has the higher ceiling but he's not better right now.

There's nobody in the midfield that's doing well enough to be considered. Diehard Alonso fans might try and argue for him but I don't think so.

Not sure the starts are as bad as people make out. Texas has a habit of P2 being the better grid slot because you get the inside into t1. He's had a few genuinely bad starts and now casual fans have decided that's his thing.

I think being consistent and having pace is the most important thing in F1 followed by racecraft. He's got good car control too. Able to drive these cars on the limit. Something Hamilton just can't.

Leclerc is on another level to Lando let’s be honest lol Norris just isn’t that guy, I’d put him more in the bottas barichello bracket. He’s really lacked that killer instinct and it’s not like he’s a rookie anymore. Too many silly errors, he’ll only win a title if he’s in a rocket ship with an established number 2, wont be able to do it when there’s a little bit of needle in a title race. Would have Sainz over him personally, got the better over him in the same machinery can be forgiven as they were his rookie years mind

Next season I could genuinely see Piastri outpacing Norris too. A bit more experience under his belt, and seems to have more about him.

Norris' starts have mainly been down to poor launch or better starts from others around him. Whether that's been down to software or inexperience or a mixture of both, who knows, but he's only really had one bad start when getting away really well and that was this weekend when he held his hands up and said he defended poorly into T1.

That aggression and finding the ruthless aspect will no doubt come with more experience. He might be a bit too nice of a driver, like Damon Hill often was, but I still think he's capable of winning the title in a decent battle.

Yeh Piastari is a better driver than Norris for me. Much cooler and less dumb errors, looks like an experienced driver already. Norris' bad starts have created a self-fulfilling prophecy, if he's in pole and you're in P2-4, you are going to be more aggressive because you know he's so vulnerable.

Verstappen with a engine change but no penalty?

He's using a previously used engine.  Another grey area exploited?  Not sure if anyone else has made this decision previously so perhaps not an exploit although I wouldn't put it past RB to do just that.

I trust the FIA are now making the necessary rule changes for 2025 to this "I have the apex" nonsense because clearly the written rules are totally unacceptable as they currently stand.

Red Bull should appeal that track limits exclusion for his first lap in Q3. The bit of the apex which he cut in both turns 2 and 3 was short enough that technically he didn't have all four wheels off the track at any one time. When his front wheels were inside the line his right rear was still on track, and when his rear wheels were outside the line his front right was back on track.

A technicality I know but still valid according to the rules. I guess they'll wait and see what his second lap is like first.

I'm sure Horner already has that covered.  Faxed it over the moment it happened.
