Whilst driving home yesterday I saw a broken cassette tape at the side of the road...it's long  magnetically coated innards were flailing in the breeze. The irony (or chromiumy?) being that it took seeing something to remind me you don't see it anymore.

I used to get £11 p/w for doing the evening local paper and the Sunday morning tabloids.

I was watching a very old clip from 1970s and it was like news insert about Shrewsbury Town. They were playing in the third tier at the time which is league one. On turnstile admissions it said... adults 80p! So tried to work out inflation so thats about £8 today. So imagine paying £8 to watch a league one game. To do at £8 you cant watch a southern league game for that. Shows hows football has gone from being world class sport.
