Never seen it on any newspaper shelves for quite some time. Maybe it's subscription only and gets delivered to your door.

Do they still make/sell this. Use to play for hours with it. Had metal rods, so probably not sold anymore.

If you look deeper you'll find it's been turned into a sanitised, organised game that doesn't even involve kerbs :(

Go to New Jersey where it's the law someone has to use the pump for you.  It's infuriating.

I had that game. It came in a plastic tube I think.

We also had the board game "Wembley", based on the FA Cup.

I had the Test Match board game cricket thing, with the hexagonal green playing surface and the bowler that you tipped his arm up and the little metal ball ran down the little tubing. Then you hit the ball by flicking the batters bat forwards.

Literally minutes of fun.

I had to have some boots re-soled about a year ago.  Cost me over £100.  The same boots look like they're wearing a bit quick for my liking.

So I thought, can you still buy Blakeys?  I hadn't seen them for years.

You can still buy them.

I don't think I'll bother though.  Don't much fancy sounding like Lionel Blair, tap dancing down the street

Driver and Conductor.

TV shows with lecherous, ugly, middle-aged men who were somehow apparently attractive to young women.

The last episode of On the Buses aired 50 years ago. Andrew Roberts salutes its mixture of cheap sets, nylon shirts and marital angst - The Oldie

It always makes me laugh when you see older tv shows and the main leads are always white blokes in their 40s and 50s.

Whereas nowadays it's all teenagers and twenty somethings.
