About 85% of Foxestalk was - about ten days ago - declaring things like the following:

* Enzo is a fraud and he need to F off

* The squad is the most hateable LCFC squad of all time

* The owners are clueless and not interested in the club

* The team is rubbish and the best we can hope for is a bit of luck in the play offs

Football fans, eh?

Not much has changed for me. Promotion and the title don't gloss over the cracks for me.

Yes Enzo seems to have found a plan B. But I expect him to revert to paint drying tac tics next season.

As for the owners they've overseen a monumental fvck up. That's not just going to disappear. So have they learnt enough to put it right.

Lots to be looked at but perhaps right now is not the time to talk about it. Let's enjoy what we have in this moment.

This kind of attitude is depressing.

We have had it all over the last 10 years.

People get so caught up about things out of there control.

I genuinely believe a lot of it is about expectation now.

Winning the Prem in 2016 made many football fans (both City fans and those of other clubs) think differently about Leicester.

So the bar was suddenly hugely raised in a completely unexpected way.

Why I moan now, for instance, is because we went from that type of springboard, to relegation, due in my opinion to a string of awful signings and ineptitude at board level.
Whilst many on here raved about Slimani, for example, I still think he was possibly the worst signing (in value for money terms) that the club has ever made.

We could have been ‘established’ as a Premier league side for the next decade, with the right decisions being made. Alas, we got relegated.

However, I still believe that losing Vichai on that fateful night was the key reason for this.

We return now to the Premiership with hope and expectation and happiness with this outcome, but I don’t think we needed to be in this position in the first place if the club had some real savvy following the title win.

As if the manager poll wasn't tragic enough - that thread about being done with the supporting the club - really?

Pathetic.

It's a good point and there was the sheer joy of following us last night.

I appreciate it was a special night but that joy should really be a bigger part of our atmosphere.

I hold my hands up that I'm a moaning git but last night I had a couple of goes at the linesman - he was atrocious on the left hand side second half not calling the ball out - but I managed to restrain myself  to giving him some gip only.

Although when we sang Enzo give us a wave and he clapped us my lad shouted out that's not what we asked you fuching twit which I thought was harsh although funny.

Imagine having a go at the linesman last night. lol

CHAMPIONS OLE OLE OLE……OI THAT WAS NEVER OUT LINO YOU ****

It's because the club means so much. It's better than not caring.

I think that there is more than one answer to this. The one about how the club is appearing to be run (I say that because really, none of us actually knows) seems reasonable to me.

However, there is something in the nature of following the fortunes of an entity that is way beyond one's own control, and to an extent, we're all absolute mugs for doing so. So in that regard, when I see evidence of fans always being upset/disappointed about something week after week (Example - Faes being picked again) it does look a bit like the definition of madness.

I honestly think if enough people took the same stance that @Daggers takes and refused to put money into the club, something might change. However, it will not happen, just as we're very good as a people at accepting what Sky dish out regarding fixture alteration. I am sure you can all think of countless other examples that demonstrate that we're gluttons for punishment, and although I always hate the con merchants for taking advantage of us, we're collectively a bit feeble in the face of it.

Yes most of what I've said is out of my control. That don't mean I have to be happy about it.

Also bought up in an era where even a cup final wasn't a dream.

Frank Mcclintock and Pleat week in week out 8k in filbert Street. So no on the field I expect nothing other than 100% effort and to be entertained. Off the field I expect people to do a job responsibly so our clubs here for generations to come. Not run by incompetent people.

Pleat got more stick from 8k than Rodgers did from 32k

Well the players have gave 100% this season and won the league scoring the most goals and conceding the least with 31 wins thrown in for good measure are you not entertained by that ?

Off the field we have had one bad season in 10 years if not longer, not to shabby and we have bounced back straight away.

Why are we no longer allowed to discuss the owner of the club?

If people don’t want to dwell on that stuff then, and here’s some trippy shit, don’t open the thread and read what people post. This is such Karen behaviour - barking at the airport you moved in next door to because you don’t like planes. Feeble twattery.

An Ownership that gave the platform for Premier League and FA Cup 🤣 😂 the post was a bit tongue in cheek given how we all been moaning recently , yet in the end we ended up as Champions and heading back to the Premier :)

At the end of day Leicester are still amazing club to follow. I think that was the point was making at the heart of my post.

i can only apologise if my post has offended you 🤣

Last season was some of the worst incompetency in English football. Getting relegated with the 7th highest wage bill in the league is enough for any group of fans to feel down.

Our financial situation is really bad as well. While I do think it is overblown as we had the highest profits outside the big six from 2016 to 2019 so we should have enough money to have substantial losses for a few years, we are clearly in breach of ffp which is unacceptable.

I get the sentiment but I feel like that kind of attitude of well we've won more than any other club like us will ever win is both irrelevant and a symptom to our unprecedented demise.

It needed to be the complete perfect shit storm of a manager who was more concerned about his ego/reputation to the point of insanity and unbelievable levels of unprofessionalism for that squad last season to go down. Nothing we did before changes that. To go with that we finally got a real example of what those at the club thought of the fans. Free donuts are all well and good but the utter contempt for us for pointing out their failings is something I won't forget.

So yeah there's a lot there to moan about from me.

So relieved we bounced back and just hope Top learns from it.

I have enjoyed the style of play certainly not boring as ****, playing teams who just camp in there own half is boring as ****, nothing we can do about that.

Seems like finances will be okay so I doubt we will be held back 2 years

Moaning is part of supporting. We have an emotional investment that often trumps logic! It's a passion.

It often feels like it's more now, but much of it is that we hear more because of our interconnectivity. Decades ago people would have been moaning the same in the pub, now it's online and on social media.

Perhaps if it is greater, it may be that we're an increasingly unhappy nation due to factors such as mental health, education, economic crisis, shit government, housing etc. For the first time in memory, younger people have much fewer advantages that their parents and grandparents. And then we're also flooded with nonsense extremist stuff through news/tv/online.

I'm VERY guilty of this. I really ought to get back into the, mainly, innocent joy that my eldest (turning 12 in 3 weeks) has for supporting your local Team which, after Monday, has never been more the reason why we all go into this in the first place.

I've been supporting since 1980 and like many fans of that era, success only came via promotion into Division 1 and therefore being able to collect player stickers in that years Panini yearbook. I get too invested in things with local teams to the point where I have to step away as the enjoying just isn't there.
