Went to check if I've been paid by a client - some scamming company has taken money from me. Absolutely no idea who they are or how they've done it.

It's only £18.30 ($23.24) - WZP CUSTTOMJERSEYS - but I've reported it. I only ever use the account for work invoicing and keeping around £50 in for tapping phone spends on booze and snacks in One Stop. I may have used it for other purchases in the past, certainly not from whoever this is tho.

But yey for Chase Bank.

I've loaded the app and the account from day dot of opening it. Calling up the helpline was simple, I didn't need to recall oodles of passwords, they reset my card number and that immediately fed through to the app to block further scam payments, and are refunding the amount today.

Pays to check your accounts, huh?

And if you're looking for a bank account, Chase gets a strong thumbs up from me for this painless process.

I had this with my Nationwide Credit Card, 3 purchases from the USA but they recognised it wasn't my 'normal' purchases and stopped it and issued a new card.

Gone through everything. The only not normal purchase I’ve made was with a Chinese footy shirt company recommended on here. Either the payment info was stolen or they are the source of the scam.

No more iffy shirts for me.

Yeah I couldn't find any connection to those buys or what might have been iffy businesses.

I dont think they’ll get too many customers with the name ‘scammer and chase’

Akin to Private Eye's imaginary firm of solicitors Sue, Grabbit and Runne. Though, as a crude chap, I prefer the constant references to Carter Ruck as Carter Fvck.

My missus got scammed and Smile/Co-op returned her money within 24 hours, but we're still waiting for Monzo 3 months later

How often do you/she get scammed? It seems more like it’s a hobby.

Got a lifetime of getting scammed out the way in one day

That’s quite smart. So smart in fact that I’m concerned I’m now being scammed.

Everyone should be. It was a bit mad. I was amazed how many people admitted to it happening to them when they found out

Or you’d had a few last night and ordered another dodgy football shirt and forgot about it 😂😂
