Omg! I cany believe it! He's done it! Absolutely amazing. Proved all the doubters who said he couldn't compete with the bestspriners anymore totally wrong. Well done Cave. Massive achievement.

For months if not years I’ve felt close to nothing emotion wise regarding football and the team we all support 


After Cav crossed that line that’s genuinely the closest to tears I’ve been since our FA Cup win

 

One of our greatest ever…in any sport

 

(he will be so relaxed now, I’d bank on him taking at least another stage)

In his early tour de France years he was winning stages for fun 20 in 4 years but the last few years have been a real struggle for him with crashing out and illness and loss of form but he's stuck at it and been determined and committed with the support of people willing to help and work for him. His achievements are fully deserved and he is rightly recognised as the greatest cycling sprinter of all time.

Geraint Thomas has tested positive with mild symptoms for Covid but is carrying on in the Tour. Don't know what the rules are regarding this!.

Anyone ever been to watch this?

 

My Mrs has got right into it thanks to the Netflix documentaries. I hate flying.

 

Next years Grand Depart is in Lille and the first few stages around NW France, so thinking about doing it in a camper van!

Go for it, it's a great spectacle. 

 

I've been to a few Départ and Arrivée in the past. Mainly in the Carcassonne area where I've often stayed. In fact I was on Plateau de Beille in 2004 and they finish on the same climb later today!

 

With the Grand Départ in Lille next year you've got to think they'll have a stage including some of the cobbled roads from Paris-Roubaix spring classic, which will be worth watching.

Pogacer just had to sit on Vingegaard wheel till a few km out and then attack him to solidify and extend his lead. Vingegaard and his team tried to go hard but just doesn't have that explosivsness that Pogacer has. The only option Vingegaard had was to try and go hard to break Pogacer but it just didn't work. Pogacer has the potential to dominate this tour for years and is already being compared to the mighty merckx.

That’s surely done and dusted with a week still left, I mean it was probably done days ago.

 

He doesn’t look human at times does he?

 

It still leaves me speechless at times what these guys can do day after day, deserves so much more coverage worldwide than what it gets imo.

 

Still miss some of the old characters though more than the ruthless machines, would have loved to see Tommy Voeckler ruffle a few feathers up that climb 😂
