Not an exaggeration to say outside my family his goals have been the constant theme in my adult life. Actually even including my close family, which has increased in number by four since he scored against Torquay.

Yeah I'm a full on Vardy happy clapper. Only go to 3-4 home games a year now and seeing him score from an Albrighton cross in the cup was absolutely my personal highlight of last season.

I watch these quite often too with my son. He isn’t old enough to have seen it in real time, so I make sure he appreciates just how good Jamie was.

I'll never get bored of talking about him or watching these kind of things back. Quality that you're showing your boy how good he is/was.

He only got into football in 2021, and Vardy was his favourite player almost instantly. It was an absolute pleasure to show him all the moments from the years before. Absolutely dreading the end of next season. It’s going to be the hardest of goodbyes.

It’s pretty much the final season mate. He’s making a documentary and the contract is only 1 year.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the number of PL goals that arent on that compilation (36) is still more than any player we had in the PL era before him. 

 

The only player to reach 50 PL goals for us and he might do it 3 times over.

It wasn't long back I was naming all of our Premier League scorers on Sporcle and filling in players like Savage on about 6 goals. Times have changed.

Have literally just done a sporcle quiz on that subject. Needed one player with a few seconds to go, on 6 goals. Just managed to sneak it in there on time with Mark Robins.
