Alves going to be one of them injury prone players isn’t he. Plays once then out for a few weeks, near to a comeback gets another little niggle and so on.

Maddison Mark II, but if we got £40m for Alves that’s a massive success.

Not brilliant for Cover and Raikhy. Are both out of contract at the end of this season?

Hamza being used as a DM and RB a fair bit.

Getting the minutes in. Hopefully Wilder wants to keep him on as a utility man.

If they go up it’s an easy £5-8m buy for them which I’m sure they will do.

Apart from Campbell, I think he was their best player tonight, he's absolutely everywhere when they’re defending their box and breaks up so many attacks.

Funny that, when played in his actual strongest position. When he is, forget the off the field problems and the fact his wage is too high, but as a combative central midfielder, he is good at that level.

When played in a full back or inverted position that is not natural, it’s no wonder he doesn’t look as good.

Sheffield United criticise Hamza Choudhury against Bristol City
Sheffield United currently top the Championship table under Chris Wilder but only by a single point after dropping two against Bristol City.

Choudhury played the full ninety minutes as a defensive midfielder alongside Sydie Peck, and some fans weren’t impressed by his display.

“Choudhury and peck just walking about,” one fan wrote while another replied: “Peck & Choudhury need to step it up a level second half.”

“Peck doing the job of two men. Choudhury strolling around giving it big licks. Got zero desire to get forward and join an attack. Exactly the same at Luton,” a third pointed out.

“Midfield is being overrun because Choudhury is spending most his time stood next to the CBs, when he does step up he follows Peck like a lost puppy!” someone else exclaimed.

“Worst player on the pitch, you’re in the minority if you think otherwise,” a sixth offered a scathing review of Choudhury while a seventh commented: “I have to be honest I’m really not sold on Choudhury he can get a foot in but can’t play a pass more then 5 yards.”

Choudhury’s stats vs Bristol City
Choudhury has never been known for his ball-playing skills, as he’s more of an old-fashioned defensive midfielder, whose primary role is to win possession back and lend it to the more creative players.

Against the Robins on Tuesday night, the Bangladesh international completed plenty of work without possession but his quality on the ball was lacking, as shown by his statistics from the match.

Hamza Choudhury’s stats against Bristol City

90 minutes played
64 touches
37/43 (86%) accurate passes
0 key passes
0 dribble attempts
5 interceptions
2 tackles

Yeah that'll be on Hamza's tombstone. Summed up perfectly, that's him. What were Sheff Utd thinking they were getting?

Great news. Hopefully he has an injury free run now, gets back in the side and picks up where he left off, comes back and we build the defence around him next season.
