You don't need years to go on a huge shift up the table btw. See Newcastle, Forest etc.

It's quite clear we should just break PSR in January. Anything and everything to stay in the league and if all else fails, we'll have stockpiled options in the Championship because no doubt we'll have transfer embargoes/points deductions next year.

Breaking the rules pays off👍 See Forest/Everton.

Good to see people are seeing the light on PSR, we just need to spend big for 1-2 windows, take a small 8 point penalty for a squad thats worth 20-30 points extra per season.

Probably not even eight points.

Neither Forest nor Everton got that, and Forest's breach was ridiculous.

But Ipswich and Southampton are definitely the bottom two. So if we're only ahead of Ipswich on GD, we go down in 18th. Unless the PL have something extremely funny planned for Manchester City.

now that would be an xmas present:beer:

Can't believe the Arse aren't just running it to the corners and trying to obtain corner kicks by hitting it behind off defenders.

If they do a Juventus to Manchester City, us and Wolves will breathe a huge sigh of relief. I think that would all but settle the bottom three.

Saints look the only certainty.  Ipswich could still jump above the pair of us, they're currently above Wolves.

Fair, I guess. I do think Wolves have a bit more about them than Ipswich, but that's based more on their experience than anything. Either way, if Man City get a Juventus style punishment, survival is absolutely in our hands.

How about in Danny Ward's hands? :brendan:

good set of results so far for us today,

now if we can beat Wolves and Fulham win tomorrow, it will be a hell of a weekend

Not too worried about Fulham. Southampton are finishing bottom.

I thought the same. My eyes will be on the Everton/Chelsea game rather than Southampton.

Tomorrow either gives us breathing space going into a really difficult next three games or sucks us right into the mix will likely see us start the new year in the bottom 3.

Yep, pretty much.

If we beat Wolves and Chelsea beat Everton, we're five clear of the bottom three and leapfrog Palace and Everton to go 15th.

Also, Bournemouth are quietly having a superb season. They go 5th tomorrow if they beat Manchester United. That win at home against them looks a big one now.

Cracking result for the mighty Ipswich I see……

It will be interesting how the press deal with this match. Leicester got hammered for our shit show away at Newcastle last week. It’s been plucky old ‘Ed Sheeran’s Ipswich™️’ until now this season despite their massive spend but they were comprehensively outplayed in this game. Newcastle missed some absolute sitters and still won 4-0 at a canter, away from home. Assist of the season coming for Murphy btw.

They literally got butchered. It was much worse than our game last week, they eased past them, then just saw the game out.
