Before we just go balls deep on criticising the Premier League for the PSR loophole closure, can we just all be abundantly clear that this is not just the "Premier League"

This change was VOTED and RATIFIED by Premier League clubs. The clubs dictate, the Premier League enact. It is not a cosy group of 10 men telling 20 clubs what to do, it's the majority of the Premier League clubs' execs telling the suits what to do.

Pin the blame on the club execs who passed this, not the suits. If you're angry about this change then direct your ire in the right direction and don't let the clubs get off without blame.

Beginning of the end for him.

I still dont get why they didn’t stick with Poch

Think the owners and Poch clashed on transfer policy.... Basically Poch wanted a say in the transfers and they didnt like it!

Sweet Jesus. We had the chance to get Emery and now we're in the queue for idiots like this.

I've run out of words to describe how badly we've fallen off under King Power and Rudkin.

And let's be clear, clubs in whichever position would vote whichever way suited them. Self interest is rife.

I think it’s the yank influence. They have 12 owners? They can vote through what they want. But it’s us and Everton and Forest that they pick upon. Not United, Bournemouth and Chelsea who do whatever they want.

No, I think it is more that established Premier League clubs want to make it virtually impossible for promoted clubs to compete. We would have been the same years ago. They have closed the loophole (that should never have been there in the first place). Ourselves, Everton and Nottingham Forest knew what we were doing so no sympathy but there is no doubt we are all a victim of timing where the Premier League want to be shown to be "tough".

Clubs have seen points deductions coming in for strugglers which makes their life easier. They have also seen clubs sell car parks and women's teams to comply and be allowed so why vote against that when you could use it at some point?

im sure @Bilo has his newcastle shirt on tonight, must have celebrated that Murphy goal too

Get that repellent little club out of the Champions League places forthwith. I want an even more brutal and sudden decline for them than we've had - a more deserving fanbase doesn't exist.

Just watching Harvey Barnes for Newcastle. Sad that over the years we've had some great players we've had to sell. Always thought Barnes had a great attitude, no diving, no feigning injury, just gets on with it and is a great player. Keeping Gordon out of the side.

It’s been quite a rebuild for them, 9 years ago an already relegated Newcastle team beat Spurs 5-1 last game of the season that made Spurs finish 3rd

I can't wait until we've got some academy products back in the side again. It's one of the reasons why this season has been so awful - nobody in the squad, bar perhaps Vardy and Ricardo, who care about the club half as much as Barnes did.

windmilling now ?

3-0

Just need Everton to roll over for Man City and Chelsea to win the West London Derby.

Not sure what result would be better in the Villa-Newcastle game. Potentially a Villa win to keep Newcastle two ahead of Lee Anderson FC and Villa behind them on GD only.

Agent Barnes doing everything he can to deprive the Unmentionables of fluking UCL qualification.

You can take the lad out of Leicester and all that...

Whilst I did find the clapping of Harvey's goal against us very odd...I have alot of time for him, I constantly find myself wanting him to do well, unlike some of tossers that have left us, I wish him nothing but the best.
