We've gone back and offered more cash up front and a bigger chunk of a... lets say £70m future deal.
Popular Post JimJams Posted 27 August 2024 Popular Post Posted 27 August 2024 You're all just looking at numbers. Forgetting that the addons they've requested might not be the ones we're requesting. Their 6mill addons might be for playing 38 games. Ours might be for winning the balon d'or. It's not necessarily as black n white as you're making out. 7 1

Further incentive for a bigger chunk of money if he sells big in 2-3 yrs time. It's not that bad a counter to be fair. 2

Our terms it would cost us £32.5m, classic Rudkin. Edited 27 August 2024 by Bluearmyfox28

Pliskin Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 Obviously not taking any chances after several failed bids elsewhere. 2

Popular Post Finnegan Posted 27 August 2024 Popular Post Posted 27 August 2024 Jesus ****ing Christ would you all stop. I love kicking Rudkin as much as anyone else but Tav doesn't literally know the exact amount down to the penny that's being offered back and forth, does he? 14

Bluearmyfox28 Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 I mean it’s the difference of like 500k if he sells for £50m one day… it’s barely anything, just strange to negotiate especially if we are paying more up front. All I can think of is their add on clauses were way to easily achievable.
st albans fox Posted 27 August 2024 Posted 27 August 2024 Clearly no one on twitter actually knows any actual detail

If that was a very achievable 5m … appearances for example, then maybe 5m in the books in the championship would not be ideal if we could just pay 3m to guarantee it now
