He's going to be an absolute beast if he can bulk up a bit as he continues to grow. He's lightweight at the minute but that's completely understandable, it's easy to forget how young he js. The lad probably spends his weekdays flicking elastic bands at the girl he likes in assembly then gets a lift to Seagrave from Mum. lol

Not seen someone so confident in beating a man in so long. He's the antithesis of what Stephy offers in that position right now and has his spot on merit.

I can't disagree more. I would argue that his physical strength is one of his top qualities and certainly what sets him apart from pretty much anyone his age.

Thought he was crap first half personally. His constant going to the floor is getting frustrating and Marti needs to have a word. Much better second half. Still think at the moment hes much more effective to bring on with 30 mins left so he can just constantly keep running at a tired RB

He needs to stop sagging, I'm an old chud now but when I was young I used to sag hard, but there's a time and place for it, not football shorts on a football pitch, it restricts your thighs range of motion. Pull your short up bro.

He was shite first half as well. Second half a different story

Fair enough. Thought he was fine first half. Falls over too easy at times but beat his man a few times

Do not care how young he is. Do not care how good he is. We need more from him. His nonchalant attitude needs changing, head in his shoulders for most of the game. Just always looks like he really can’t be arsed, especially when he’s had his card marked early doors.

See, I saw the opposite, couldn’t doubt his lack of effort but he looked nervous and wasn’t playing with any type of swagger.

He definitely at this stage of his career would be much better suited to being an impact sub.

Doubled up on for 60 minutes whilst Thomas stands and watches him

The modern way of playing has ruined wingers - inverted full backs not overlapping or CB’s at full back

Frustrating!

Just calling out what I saw. Doesn’t matter his age. He’s a first team player.

Monga was at his worst today but his worst is the same as an average performance from Reid and Ayew. Personally im going to keep the faith as he's still the best option on the left wing that we have.

Remember even Mahrez used to be slated for going missing in games, we need to persist with Monga for those moments of magic that we know he can produce. It's just the nature of flair wingers not named Messi that theyre going to have off games.

Hey I’m not doubting he should be starting. He’s got the ability to do it all.

He appears to just have a ridiculously laid back personality on the pitch. Could be an age thing I suppose.

He’ll be the first one to put his hand up and say it didn’t happen from the off today. He’s 16 and he’s a winger, at that age and playing in that position, he will be inconsistent and today it wasn’t his day. It’s probably harder for him when he’s not got Mavididi available to rotate game time with - the pressure to make the impact as a LW is currently entirely on him. Tbh being a left winger in this team is very difficult anyway and it’s probably fair to say Mavididi has found it even more challenging than Monga. As a LCFC left winger you get the ball less than the right winger and you get less support from the full back behind you because Luke Thomas is not an attacking full back, and as I’ve said before, Luke’s kicking technique and body positioning is almost predisposed to hooking the ball backwards or sideways. He’s just not going to be a foil for Monga. Hopefully Monga will forge a good understanding with Rambo - It wasn’t there today, but they’ve not played together much due to the red card.

Some forget the lad is still only 16 years old a Kid playing alongside men some nearly twice his age some that only can dream of his skill set the opposition defenders virtually have to kick him off the ball to stop him taking the Pi55 out of them, the lads gone from under 18’s& 21’s to a professional contract playing alongside and against seasons pro’s and noisy stadiums Monga is going to be a special player in the future who will demand a huge transfer fee from a Top club in a couple of years time but let’s hope the lad does some great and amazing things for us before we have to sell the lad for a large bit of cash !
