Watched it back earlier, he beats two Arsenal players for the first contact which is just sheer willpower. Impressive goal

One of the great Filbert Street goals. The way he doesn't even break strike when heading it in and then turning to run towards Wright. And against a team that went on to win the double.

Leicester 1-0 against Tranmere early 90s,  when my brother and my mates persuaded me to leave with 2 minutes of injury time left only for Kevin(Rooster)Russell to score, I felt sick as a pig missing that goal

I was in Spain (real spain, not a benidorm type resort)  for this one and the Blackburn game (which was either just before or just after, I can't remember).  Both games were 1-0 to city with rooster getting the goals.  These were the days before Internet and mobile phones and I couldn't get a paper for results for love nor money.

I had to rely on crackly phone calls to my not particularly interested in football mum for the scores.  I'd got one of the results and scorer from her but when I phoned again after the 2nd game and she said 1-0 to city, Russell scored I remember being particularly annoyed......no mum that was the last game.....they played tonight as well.....you've got it wrong ...........I wouldn't have it!!!!   Sorry mum.😂

It really does, I remember one in the championship when we were both chasing play off positions near the end of the season

It's been 2-2 on 5 of our last 16 visits. That does feel like quite a lot really for a specific scoreline.

One for the seniors .... my very first game vs Leatherhead in the FA Cup  .... Chris Kelly the Leatherhead lip.  ..... city eventually won 3 - 2

Could have been totally embarrassing if Steve Earle hadn’t cleared off the line. Think that would have made it 3-0.

Sorry to be picky but always thought it was cleared by Malcolm Munro but I could be wrong

5-0 v Cambridge semi final play offs after a 1-1 first leg. I don’t know how I survived the goal celebrations at this one!!!

Thats definitely the definitive 5-0.  In the town hall square fountain afterwards.....I'll never forget one lad carefully taking off his shoes and socks on the benches 😂😂

Can't believe no one has put this one forward:

96 years ago this Sunday, we beat Portsmouth 10-0.  The famous Arthur Chandler six swans match.

7-0 v Port Vale 1924.  Another double hat-trick, this time by Johnny Duncan (Chandler scored the other one).

5-5 v Luton 1949.  5th round cup game, Jack Lee scored an equaliser in the last minute of extra time to take to replay which we won and ultimately reached the cup final losing to Wolves.

0-0 for me would be West Brom Anglo-Italian Cup 93/94, I've borne witness to approximately 600 games and this was the worst. I suspect it was match fixing for both clubs to get out of a god forsaken competition.

There was 1 goal attempt, by Phil Gee, in the entire game and it came straight towards me in SK3 pretty much knocking me unconscious and leading to medical complications that eventually lead to my tonsils having to be removed.

The highlight was a first touch by Neil Lewis where he leapt to bring the ball down on a proverbial sixpence from above head height.
