We've had a few board members have a look at the prototypes so far and more due to go. General consensus seems to be coming out from what we've seen, and also heard from others, that the favoured ones are the flat metal seats at the back of the prototypes that can be actually clipped up. They'll be the priciest though. The ones at the front are clunky and not good. Where they do the cheap version and just put a rail up on existing seats, you can bang your calves on the existing seat and there are trip hazards where the rail is fixed into the concrete on the floor. Most people think all the rails were at an OK height, no issues seeing over them even for short people, and they're ok to lean on, and people seemed to prefer painting them blue to leaving them silver. Lots of people seem to be suggesting SK1, top half of Kop,  L1 and away section as the standing areas.

If you are not a member or ST holder and can't vote in the survey or attend Your 90 Minutes, please let us know your views and we'll feed it all in via Trust feedback and the FAB etc.

Away section? What, why would the club want that?

Mandatory if you have it in home areas.

Really, didn't know that. So if any are installed in the South Stand then the away corner will also be filled? I didn't go to Southampton but guessing the away fans section is safe standing?

I think it's a percentage of the amount the home club install, or a certain percentage of the allocation. Unsure on exact numbers.

Interesting to read this comment from one of the longest term campaigners on safe standing, who we worked with back in 2012 getting a display of seats available at that time set up at the Local Hero

Good to see a club giving fans the chance to see a selection of different safe standing options and feed their thoughts into the decision-making process. Can't think of any other club that has gone to such lengths to get supporters' views in advance of making a final decision.

I think it’s happening, going to be interesting where they locate it.

Sk1 where the majority stand already would be a logical choice but given that lately our club doesn’t seem to do much logically and a number of areas I’ve seen seem to be in corners of grounds I wouldn’t be surprised if they picked G1.

I’ve sat there for years and would prefer not to move but it is what it is. Obviously if the last few years had played out differently on the field we would have an expanded stadium with a much bigger selection of seats to relocate to by the time this was brought in.

It's not about logic in fact they're probably quite good at that but football is not about logic well not business logic. They cannot emapthise with any football going fan never mind LCFC ones

I don’t think they will do G1, they still are planning for the expansion to occur in a few years and they want the away end moving to accommodate for the new hospitality in the expanded stand so can’t see them then choosing to put a supporter group underneath it.

in some form it will be the kop

Yeah I agree, I think it will be the top half of the Kop.

Its the golden chance to reconfigure the ground, lets hope they don’t waste it.

Swap the kop and the family stand?

The Safery Advisory Group are unlikely to approve moving the away fans from the easiest access point of the ground.

Disappointing meeting on teams this evening. Sounds like the club are favouring a ‘phased-approach’ starting with small areas that are already standing (singing section & L1). Despite Jim saying on many occasions that nothing has been decided, it sounds like a full kop end is out of the question because of the difficulty relocating people/‘bad pr’ it caused when creating the singing section, as well as the apparent poor uptake in that area. The more people that fill out the survey & get their thoughts to the club before the deadline on the 23rd the better.

Could someone send the form again?

I think they’ll probably do G1 and SK1, L1 and P1 and see how it goes. Sounded like they were scared to commit to doing too many. The survey will tell a lot though if they make the results available
