Hear me out… if It’s solely tops decision… is captain nobhead on his way out as well?!?! That would pave the way for potter or anyone who wants their own DOF

My thought too.

I did wonder this. Seems he isn’t taking advice off him as to whether to do things now …

This as well.

If Top has sacked Cooper unilaterally and then goes on to appoint Cooper, you'd think that Rudkin will have less influence over the club. It might mean him overseeing both us and Leuven perhaps in a Klopp at Red Bull clubs style role, mind.

Someone with big balls to challenge and call out things. The manager desperately needs to be forthright in his communication and get the fans on board. I could never ever see them appointing an overseas, fired up type character like Conciecao but I’d ****ing love it

I was there as well, totally battered us, and even when they was cruising they never stopped, there fitness levels was unreal

if they had a decent striker they would have finished a lot higher

They had Danny Welbeck back then, and he’s banging them in for fun this season.

Mourinho would be box office and high profile. Don't know if he'd be a good fit though.

He would be sensational for about three months. Then it would all go to shit 😂

After yesterday, I suspected issues between him and winks. Skipp was stripped the minute Harry went down which suggested (to me anyway) he was carrying an injury or Cooper knew he just wanted off the pitch.

It’s definitely the right decision and credit for the board getting rid of him without further delay.

I didn’t want Cooper but thought he might force enough wins and keep us in with a shout of survival but the game plan and tactics were only going one way downwards.

I’m not that taken with any of the names mentioned

• always wanted Potter but not so sure now

• RVN surely that’s a risk….he hasn’t done much but would relish the opportunity

He would be like appointing Rooney surely in comparable terms ?

• Moyes is boring but I guess would be the choice to try and stay in the league

• never fancied Corberian

• Southgate depresses me

So I’m delighted he’s gone but do we have enough good players and with  the right coaching and set up to compete….as so far we’ve been very fortunate with our 10 pts

Then I think we have played some ok attacking football and scored goals and I think Cooper did have the ability to achieve that side of it.

Am I talking sense or gibberish !

Yeah most likely. But Ricardo is out for months, so we won't see him till March at the earliest.

Moyes does not play attractive football, but a 4231 that is defensively robust and good on the break probably keeps us up. Moyes has developed players like Bowen and Rice over the years too and improved them.

I thimk Moyes would improve a number of players in the team actually, simplifiying their jobs and making them strong at core principles. I think he'd improve Kristiansen, Okoli, Justin, Ndidi, maybe even Mavididi, who would probably be our Bowen. He's the type I can see dropping Faes due to his antics. Winks probably won't like him, but as with Rice and even Arteta (as a player) back at Everton, he's managed to get creative players doing OK under him.

But just so everyone is clear, I am not a fan of the turgid stuff he plays. It's boring. But right now if we were a boring midtable team, that would be a massive upgrade on where we are.

We don’t have the luxury of being picky.

The squad is good in my opinion, but there are still gaps in it, gaps that Cooper failed to address. Moyes would do this, no he’s not sexy, but he is productive and he would likely stabilise the team and would keep us up. It’s very much a Puel style of appointment, I think he’s capable of building a good squad, and is a fairly safe pair of hands.

It'll be Moyes, RVN or Potter.

I highly doubt we will be looking at anyone outside of those 3 men.

Tbf anyone of them has got to be a massive improvement

Yeah, he's already managed to equal his best ever season for Brighton with 6 goals.

So not exactly dispelled the idea yet given he was no better under De Zerbi.

Sounds like this isnt credit to the board, but Top for taking control of the situation before it was too late.

Sounds like he made Rudkin do the dirty though lol
