Keep an eye out later/in the morning.

It was expected we'd lost against Spurs and he'd be gone.

Turgid atmosphere at the training ground, manager screaming at the players regularly losing the plot, loaning out young assets who were hungry to try to break the first team...

Mutual Consent = There will be some agreement on compensation, not the full package.

Decision by Top probably made at Half-time.

What’s even the point, next to no time/ money to improve the squad, the only managers we will be able to attract are of the ilk of RVN and Cooper I mean I don’t think RVN covers himself in glory with his decisions but the cheek of Rudkin to sack a manager for underperforming when you look at the bag of shit squad he’s overseen built is obscene

He's got to go and should have weeks ago. He's tactically inept but the decision to hire him in the first place must be one of the worst mistakes ever made in the History of the club. Top's ego and vanity project and his 'desperation' to get a big name in will get this club relegated again.

Think of the state of the club when you think that we didn't even approach David Moyes. The man who we said would have kept us up. (You could even argue that at the time we had a better squad than Everton, I know strange thing to say when we've just lost 4-0 to them)

I could honestly see them hiring someone like Pearson (if he's well enough and fancies it) just to try and win the fans over and give them something to be happy with. Detract from the negative vibes and protests. (Saying that I bet Pearson's contract would be more expensive than a few crates of Singha Beer that fell off the back of a lorry)

It was a risk, we all knew that. Could've been a slice of genius but turns out we have our very own Wayne Rooney. Even Coventry knew and went for Lampard who we would've actually been better off with.

He quit PSV due to lack of support from within the club... I would be shocked if he doesn't do the same here, probably by Tuesday

Unlike Brendan, Ruud has had a very successful and profitable football career I don't think he will hang on for the sacking payday

For what it's worth, I do have some contacts within football, unfortunately linked to forest....from what they've said, all the press releases before Tottenham about RVN wanting to walk were all true, he's fuming that he's not been backed and is having to do it with this squad. The complication is he was hand picked by Top so Top is heavily invested in this one. It all sounds like it's a bit of shit show behind closed doors and no one really knows what the right thing to do is, spend v consolidate etc.

Just passing on what they have said, recognise its 3rd hand from people in the game at another club.

I’ve been thinking-about this, this morning, and honestly what options does he have?

All 4 centre halves are not capable at premier league level, so if we do swap to a 3 at the back it’s still 3 of the 4 players that aren’t good enough. We probably utilise the fullbacks better if we play them as wing backs, that would be the only positive there.

Without Ndidi there is no bite in midfield and no defensive cover. If we’re going to play with a 2 man midfield it has to be Ndidi and Soumare as they’re both the most physical that we have. Winks is too lightweight in midfield and Skipp I haven’t seen anything from him to offer any upgrade on winks/ndidi/soumare.

The wingers aren’t good enough for this league so he doesn’t have many options out wide, I suppose if we went with wing backs that would take those out of the equation.

Playing BEK and FB together in the same team we would lose the ball too high up the pitch more regularly and expose our centre halves with even less protection than what they currently get.

Vardy is still the best option we have up front but he is so isolated at times. We should really throw two strikers there but then that would only leave Edouard from the bench if we started both Daka and Vardy.

All in all, I don’t think the squad assembled has enough Quality to survive and if by some miracle we did, we would probably need to sign 6 players next season to go straight into the first 11 and we probably don’t have the PSR wiggle room to do that.

So after all that ramblings I don’t think we can lay all the blame on RVN, and if he walked which I wouldn’t blame him if he did, I just can’t see any other manager getting a tune out of these players.

He has to walk if he genuinely wants to, we wouldn’t blame him. Top / Rudkin are both f**king clueless, we cannot consolidate with this squad / team of players we need investment to give us a chance of staying up

The wrong man at the wrong time - no subs at HT - I know there’s crap on the bench but even so he needed to change the formation and the players

Who would he have brought on though. If he brought on Skipp, mavididi and Coady/Okoli we would have still lost 4-0 or maybe more

The problem is, we haven't learnt lessons from the relegation season (shocking I know) we have players on big wages who we won't be able to shift again, who don't want to play in the championship and Top etc. are only now recognising the prospect of relegation is actually real.

I never rated Cooper but one thing I heard was he was far more realistic about this squads limitations than "the boards" who believed we could finish around 11th, which is partly why he got sacked (on top of the players hating him) we had unrealistic expectations on what could be achieved.

Exactly but BDCR, Faes,  Ayew and VK needed to be hooked

But he isn't. No matter that he's out greatest, he isn't any more. Two seasons ago he was phased out. Last season he wasn't out and out first choice, in a division lower. It's over.

I'm gonna assume you won't believe and just put this down to an opinion thing. But check out two things from yesterday if you can bear to watch.

It was left to Bilal alone to chase the centre halves. And his position is three years behind Vards. Vards didn't and couldn't assist the press.

Secondly,.look at the motd highlights of their lad - Beto? -  closing us down. Vards can't do that.

When you are at the bottom,.you can't afford to  play 10 men plus a bonus, joker, luxury player. All 10 outfield players have to really dig in and do the miles.

I honestly would look at bringing in an Under 21s centre half for the cup game and sticking him alongside Coady. For his lack of pace he has bags of experience and could maybe talk a younger, more mobile but less experienced centre half through the game. It may work, it may not but at least it’s worth a try.

But Daka can run around but not have the technical ability that Vardy has, that’s the difference. We maybe should look at playing both but that just leaves Edouard. God help us is all I say 😂

Yes the squad are crap. But a good coach could have at least set us up to get some ****ing points somewhere.  He's clown shoes

Basics. Low block, back four stay narrow..pack midfield. Pace up top. The most basic of stuff
