A well structured and respectful response.  I have followed City for 50 years so relegation has always happened at many points in the clubs history so I would not have been surprised at all. It was always going to happen, sadly.

I wonder if Man City fans say the same about themselves.

Another busy day at the office for “Mr Chairman”

Anyone that has witnessed his non attendance at matches

He clearly knows that the club needs a lot of work, direction, leadership, planning and financial leadership and has done nothing to even try to make things better and for years not months.
A decision on a manager who has just been left to stew and not even been spoken to, not knowing what his position is and whether he is to carry on is incredibly unprofessional.
Ruud should not have to tell an owner that it’s good to have a conversation, not for his own situation but for the good of the club and its fans so we can plan straight away. Relegation was confirmed 6 weeks ago and here he is playing polo. 😡😡

But this dressing it up as something to be expected in the timeframe in which it happened, and in the way in which is happened through negligence, is something else.

This is it, it has all been completely avoidable and no one has suffered any consequences other than the fans. The people that drove the club down are still in power, untouchable and unaccountable.

I could just about accept what has transpired over the last few years if there was genuine acknowledgement and accountability about how it happened mixed with consequences for those who oversaw it.

The thing is, how King Power has structured its business, they are still technically owned by them.

They’re basically a division of King Power now, with someone to head up and look after them.

First paragraph is obviously referring to Mandaric. Although he was Serbian/American. Although we were relegated to L1 in his time, the damage was done before 2007. He took the club on the down and ended up stabilising it and bringing in Pearson which is the best move ever done by an owner of ours. That is where you can trace all the success back to, the summer before the L1 campaign. The biggest criticism I have of Milan is who he sells his clubs to. Portsmouth and Sheff Weds were awful and we are now going that way.

I had hoped the era of sycophancy towards Mandaric had long since passed, even on here. But I was clearly mistaken.. 😟

But valiant attempts to rewrite history cannot obscure the fact he became - and remains - the only Leicester City owner to take the club to the depths of third-tier football, despite having the biggest transfer budget in the Championship that season.

He then struck lucky when Rupert Lowe at Southampton decided to dump the manager who kept his club up at our expense. Even then, less than two years later, he was happy to throw Pearson and co under a bus in order to advance his own financial interests.

The most that can be said about the Mandaric episode is that we finished it in the same division that we started it.

You brought Mandaric up, not me. Clearly you have an axe to grind if you bring him up to draw others into talking about him so you could get that off your chest presumably?

And come on, what evidence is there we had the largest budget? We had been out the Premier League a number of years and there would have been teams with parachute payments for a start. Seems like that is rewriting history but if you can point me to the evidence of it I will retract that!

You’re even playing down him bringing Pearson in. Shock horror football club bringing in available manager! I bet you don’t see KP bringing in Ranieri in the same way lol

As I say, I haven’t thought about Mandaric for probably 15 years! I don’t care about him either way but it was just responding to your posts and you didn’t even acknowledge any of the rest I said, conveniently.

If you want more Chansiri, Dai Yong, Vincent Tan types in our game, that’s your own view I suppose.

Beat Kazak 12 - 1 in polo yesterday. Well done Aiyawatt

Great for the scouts though, assistance they’re telling Rudkin they have found a great Kazak striker

I just don’t think Top cares about Leicester City anymore and this is a big F**k you to the fans that have turned on him. He probably thought he could do whatever he wanted and fans would still laud him. You only have to see the looks he has given the way of the UFS lads on certain occasions.

Sooner the man child is gone the better. It’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better under his leadership.

He doesn't appear to be wrong about this tbf, still big numbers rimming him and insisting it's all nothing to do with him.

Next season will be interesting as by the end of it we'll be in a worse position than the one King Power found us in.

The most that can be said about the Mandaric episode is that we finished it in the same division that we started it.

He also spread rumours that the club was about to disappear which was an outrageous lie and a means of getting the club on the cheap. There was an acceptable rescue plan in place that sadly never really got a chance with his constant denigration of the club.

He promised to get us out of the 2nd tier only to take us to the third and we lost the kudos of being one of only 6/7 clubs (can't remember exact number) that had never been below the 2nd tier. A record to be proud of.

An absolute business charlatan.

Anyone who just shrugs their shoulders and says our downfall was inevitable I'm afraid is one of the problems with our fanbase.

It's like applauding them off after another humiliating defeat or an example of fans applauding  the players at Bournemouth  away.

It will be looked on by the hierarchy as acceptance of the situation.

Our demise and SECOND relegation in 3 seasons AND our player recruitment/ wage structure along with lack of direction from Rudkin and Top is UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE AND EMBARRASSING.

They have made us a laughing stock and anyone saying they have followed the club for 50 years and it's okay needs to evaluate their ethos for supporting a football team.

50 plus years of supporting the club does give you the knowledge and experience to know that it's not okay. But also the realisation that supporters cannot influence the running of the club despite their passion or lack of it.Enjoy the good times, ride the bad times. Life as a Leicester fan never changes. Wish we could change it.One positive is that; more good times are just round the corner.

I'm afraid both the highlighted are incorrect.

If you think we have good times ahead your massively in denial in the state of the club and leadesrship as will be proven in the comin few weeks👍🏾

Totally agree 100%

Good times ahead ?  Wow !
The club is in a hell of a mess and some fans still cannot see it

Wow.?

We said that when we went into administration.and when we dropped into league one.Yes we are in a mess, yes we will have some bad times but .We will be back we always come back.We are in a stronger position now to when we went into administration and we bounced back and won the Premier league 14 years later.

Get your glasses at least half full!

For the record I threw my scarf away after losing to Harlow so it hurt then and it still does. But good times are always round the corner.

We are in different times now. The club is operating completely inefficiently under restrictive financial rules. The only saving grace is the parachute payments, but how efficiently will we invest that money, and will we get back to any sort of security before the payments run out? Time will tell.

By giving Vestergaard  another new contract?

In Rudkin we trust!

But at least back then we wanted to put things right and people fought to do so.
We now have an owner who doesn’t give a S@@@ about the club and has a list of tasks that need doing for the good of the club, we can all see that won’t be done.

it’s nothing but alarm bells ringing for me, huge alarm bells. He’s not bothered.
