Anyone who actually gives these god awful fan channels any viewing time is a whopper

Twice now I've had two separate "channels" in front of me at away games. End up on their videos through no choice of my own.

Used to travel from Newquay for most home games with one of my Sons as we had 2 season tickets (for 20+ years) approximately 600 mile round trip until 2022 when I had both knees replaced and the club wouldn’t let me sell my tickets from February until the end of the season as I was only allowed to sell 3 on the resale site, I cancelled them and got no thanks for supporting them during all the crap times, fell out of love with my childhood team now unfortunately as it’s so poorly run now…

They're a total bunch of shites and have no idea of what it means and what it takes to follow this club.

If it's any consolation you've missed **** all since 2022/2023 - Preston away's the only game I've absolutely loved in that time

Southampton home (5-0) and Preston away, were the only 2 games last season that I really enjoyed.

I travel down from somewhere  between Leeds and York for every home game. Currently feeling tempted to go and watch leeds to recall what it’s like to watch a team win at home, although even York city seems a likely upgrade at present😊

Last game I travelled up for was Blackburn at home last season, we played awful and me & my Brother Mark sat waiting for the Trophy presentation for what seemed like an eternity, with so many people & stuff on the pitch I thought they were filming a new episode of the old tv show ‘It’s a knockout’

FM they should hand out honours to the very best supporters and you would fall in to that bracket - that is some dedication

This is so sad to hear, I’ve heard of similar stories where they literally just wave you off.

Maybe it’s the low quality staff in the club not being paid enough to be bothered.

We don’t need them to molly coddle us but on rare occasion a bit of understanding for long standing fans would be much more welcome than the nonsense they pump out before the game.

Maybe we should have a text number blasted out for long suffering fans to be able to report their club of running it into the ground!

On a side note… Truro City are a good team down your way, they’re well supported and I know I’d check them out if I lived in Cornwall.

Salford, so 2-3 hours depending on traffic, but my parents still live in the county so I can stay overnight to make it more tolerable/make a weekend of it.

Ive been the same for the last couple years when I moved to Salford. Usually got the train down in the morning and back up straight after, or like you stopped with parents just outside the city. The 5 minute walk to Old Trafford was convenient for away games lol

Over in Oldham now and still making the same pilgrimage, but it's become more and more of a chore. Bit easier now that I can drive, but whilst it's now more convenient, my enthusiasm has gone the other way :sweating:

I live in Spain and come over for 7-10 home games a season, sitting with my brothers. It´s a help when there are 2 in 3-4 days, like Palace and Fulham (oh dear...). This season is a disappointment but I still love the atmosphere and (occasional) excitement.

Given my location I only get to a handful of games a year. At the back end of 2023 I'd got tickets for the Leeds game which at the time was on a Saturday. I thought I'd easily make it as I was flying in on the Friday, but thanks to SKY the match was moved to Friday night. So my journey to the game was something like: cab from my apartment to Sydney airport, check in, flight to Singapore, flight to Heathrow, pick up a car, pick up some keys and have lunch in Berkshire, drive to Leicester, drop the bags at the Fieldhead in Markfield, drive into the city, have a quick Turkish meal on the Narborough Road (very nice too), and walk to the ground. Total journey time about 42 hours I think. My other half was really chuffed about it ;)

I did something similar in 2016 for the Everton game (a must see) but at least I was in England for 10 days or so. I got chatting to a girl in a Leicester shirt queueing for the plane in Sydney, who was going to England for 24 hours. She was flying Sydney-Dubai-Birmingham,  having lunch with her parents, going to the game, having a nights sleep then doing the return journey to Sydney. Hats off to her!

My Son watches Truro City home games at their new ground now, I enjoy my Saturday golf so don’t bother much with Leicester games, especially this season.

We moved down here in 96 from Leicester and love i here, Cheers for your comments…

I tend to agree with the viewpoint of Alan Young ex legend of the club from the early 80s when fans used to come up to him in the street and talk about the City he would ask them one question do you attend matches ?If the answer  was yes he would  happily chat to them if the answer  was no he would simply say your opinion  is worthless you contribute  nothing to the club.

Yes, back in the day where people couldnt watch the game unless they actually went to the stadium, so no point in discussing football with someone who didnt go! Personally, myself, I can't go to games unless its midweek as I'm working most weekends. So I'm not a real fan in your eyes because i want to make a living and afford my heating.

I moved up to Scotland over 30 years ago, and have always tried to get to 2 or 3 games a season (getting a ticket not always easy) which is a 600 mile round trip. I have been to many evening games (as I used to work every weekend) then setting off for the long dark 5 hour drive home, arriving home about 3 or 4 in the morning.

The way the team is playing and the direction the club is going, I really dont want to waste my time and money going down to attend a game

I had to watch through my camera / phone using the zoom to focus in and work out wtf was going on. Every few minutes I got excited to find a footballer.

Reminded me of a scene from Ben Hur with 5000 extras.
The bit where the families were penned in like sheep made it look like a holding pen for a race or game indeed!
