Southampton look much better than Ipswich. Ive been thoroughly unimpressed by ipswich in the first 3 games. Hirst is actually a worse number 9 than Ayew.

Wouldn't it be great if we had midfielders or strikers attacking crosses with headers on target.

We try and walk it into the box/goal to much, wingers should be mixing it up instead one runs into the box and mostly loses possession the other just cuts in and takes pot shots.

 

We should be using there pace getting it wide, get balls into the box with on rushing midfielders and forwards making up the numbers especially with Ayew starting every game.

 

Page scored a couple of goals like this in pre season but we now have Soumare jogging into box after the move has finished

On rushing midfielders that actually pose a goal threat. Something we miss!

Both of these teams were easily beaten by us at home last season

Both teams press relentlessly. We wouldn't be able to cope with our slow coaches.

It's not only the coaches, it's our players also. There's no quality in this specific game but at least you can see the work rate and fight is there. This is the big difference. I'm not expecting Soumare to play like Iniesta but his disinterest and apathy is unacceptable.

Been the case for years now

 

enzo got around it by keeping possession and working in the basis that the other teams weren’t good enough not to pass it back to us or miss any chances they created.

 

our intensiteeeee is non existent. Would love to see how our sprints per game compare to other sides.

Still might regret soon his decision to manage a Championship team. Put any of these teams against Lens last season and it's a massacre.

We should have scraped a point yesterday at the minimum despite not playing well.

Can’t be making mistakes like Jacob and vesty did. Not acceptable!

We were better under Rudd than the last 3 games. I’m not sure what is going on but Marti seems to have major issues, doesn’t look like anyone is playing for him.

He’s doing it at Chelsea with a much larger squad too!

Enzo is a great manager, he has a confidence about him too which will rub off on his players to believe in what they’re doing.
