Mate there's so much nuance to this theme..

The big teams attract remote fans largely down to either a personal weakness/neediness or a fundamental misunderstanding of football. They support Liverpool in the same way they buy some clobber with a Hugo Boss label.  It's a status symbol and a kind of deep-seated insecurity.

Being a jock supporting Leicester is neither of those categories.

Anyone who supports us is welcome. Coz it ain't for the glory, it ain't for status symbol,.it ain't for a cheap dopamine hit.

Yeah, you might have been grabbed by a League Cup win but that isn't really going to sustain you forever or massively impress the cool kids. Winning the League was so unexpected that it wasn't until February that you would latch onto it. If you are still with us then fair play.

We have a lot of fans who follow this club from far and wide and travel to get involved. It is a great effort.

This is actually quite funny.

I've been a Leicester fan since around 2000 and for most of my life, when asked who I support, the answer generally invokes a weird awkwardness as the person who asked me expected something different and is frantically trying to concoct a follow up conversation.

However, since 2016, when asked this question, I know that after I answer, I'm going to have to convince them that I'm not a glory-hunter. Like "mate, give me SOME credit! You're not just accusing me of being a glory hunter. You're accusing me of being sh!t at it too!"

Our own fault. We have cuckold, beta fans who can't wait to put their STs on resale and hundreds of Asian ST holders whio can't wait to gobble up the spares for their Liverpool cousin in Oadby

😂😂 Clueless.

I’m what you’d consider an “Asian” fan. Even though I don’t speak a word of my mother tongue and 3 generations of my family have lived in Leicester.

Would never resell a ticket to an opposition fan. And I’m fairly sure that the majority of those selling their £20 ticket for £200 are not Asian either.

Pointless making this a race thing when there’s literally no need to.

Dude, don't be naive.

There are tens of thousands of asian Leicester lads, second, third generation who follow Liverpool and Man U.

And, plenty of Asian City fans whose close family support man U and Liverpool.

It's a fact. Whether you wanna admit it or not.

Maybe.

But there’s also a reason for that. Which is a conversation for another day.

But I also wouldn’t be pinning the fact that the stadium will have a fair few “Scouse” fans in the home end solely because the city/fanbase has a few Asian members.

I've got a very bad felling about this game on Sunday.

I can see a hiding on the pitch and potentially a quote a bit of disorder off of it

That’s good to me

KPFC deserve all this

Would be pathetic after everton fans gave up their seats to leicester fans to see the trophy lift.

Youd have to be a tiny insecure person to even pretend to be upset by Liverpool fans in the crowd.

Seriously??? Then you are part of the problem. Just wow. You would be happy with a plastic scouser next to you rubbing it in by relegating us and them winning the league???

I think in general people should support their local team. Whether that’s Coalville, Kettering, Leicester City or Aberdeen.
Notwithstanding this, my initial post was talking about those fans of the big 6 from Leicester. There are obviously more nuanced connections, such as family and so on.
Or people might claim to support the club after being taken to the 1997 final.

Interesting take

Im not sure how many LCFC fans from NW Leics are STHs but I’d guess there’s a couple of thousand

You only have to think back to that Boro game in 2013 in the snow played in front of 8k fans to appreciate most of LCFCs support comes from outside of the city area

Some people are beyond deluded.

Unfortunately it includes the idiots running our club.

Going to be an eye opener to some of the more “sheltered” in our fanbase how fans off certain clubs behave at games when they could potentially win something on Sunday

The ones in the home end aren’t going to politely clap

Van Nistelrooy started by talking about the fitness of his squad

The City boss confirmed that both Wout Faes and Jeremy Monga have returned to full training and could be available for this weekend's game

Winger 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐰𝐮 was seen on the training pitch this week as he recovers from a long term injury.

Van Nistelrooy was asked about his progress

Relegation is likely to be confirmed this weekend.

Van Nistelrooy was asked whether that's affected their plans or the mood around the training ground

Id just like to apologise in advance to whoever purchased my ticket via the resale platform.

I can only presume that your a Liverpool fan, in which case, please enjoy the game.

Congratulations in advance to Andy Robertson for your first Premier League goal since 2023.
