I mean that's how it always go. The generation is done. Always remember but time to move on to the future and a new era.

We need to get back to basics build up the youth, squad and do what we are good at. Stay in our bloody lane too!

Hope we get there sooner than later but patience will 100% be required over the next 5+ years.

Yea I feel like that era ended years ago

With Vardy going I don't feel any connection to the club anymore. The only way back for me is one of these youth players (Nelson ideally) coming through as the first name on the team sheet type with absolute passion to get the fans back on side.

Genuinely feel like I'm watching a PL2 game when I watch the team now. Ie I'd like us to win but I'm not that bothered and I don't give a damn about any of the team.

I do feel bad towards riccy p and wilf about that as they've been here a while and for the most part have been great, but they're not the same as they once were and are on their way out too I feel.

I suppose it's a characteristic of being a football fan, but I am optimistic that we've got a rich vein  of young players coming through who can make a difference. Although knowing our regime they'll probably all be sold before they can make a difference.

With the end of Jamie Vardy’s unforgettable era, a new chapter begins.

The torch has been passed to the young blood, and now, it’s time for new legends to rise.

In the boots of Nelson, Mavididi, Fatawu, Thomas, Monga, Evans, Alves, Braybrooke and Stolarczyk lies that fire for the future.

This is their moment, their story to write.

This era is ending with the fire burning out, however it could rise like a phoenix. We have some exceptional talent, however we do need some solid additions and top class coaching to harvest that potential.

I am 54, after O'Neill it was hard to imagine things ever getting better.

It can happen again.

I remember in 2008 I thought we would probably flip between division 2 and 3 for a while, much like Charlton have done.

Problem is the corrupt six will probably swipe them into their bloated academies before we even get a chance to play most of them, the structure of football needs serious reform. If the rich six want the best talent they either need to find it themselves or buy it using their millions not steal it.

Therin lies the problem, top class coaching is not something anyone at this club is aware of, none of them are elite. We have a bloke who inherited some stuff, a CEO who ran a successful business in an economy based on bribes and a football director who probably wouldn’t even be a very good PE teacher. The best we can hope for is they stumble on someone.

We’ve built a top class facility but largely don’t have the leadership and professionals to utilise it.
