Whichever way you look at it that’s horrific, he had preseason, transfer window, a backroom team and still nearly beat Derbys record. Rudd has had nothing, he had Ben Dawson as coach for ages, now transfer window, no preseason nothing at all yet we still beat Martins Southampton and Ipswich, 2 of the teams we need to beat next year. We would not beat them under Martin as his teams mentality is piss weak would have been 4-0 but he’d be happy we passed it from the back and had 90% possession 

Martin left in December btw and I’m not arsed about his prem record. I’m bothered about next season which is the championship and imo RM would a do a better job for us.

It’s still his squad he built, his players, the mentality he instilled, he is an appalling manager. He got lucky last year next year will be a much tougher division. I really hope he doesn’t come elsewhere it’s going to be another awful season.

Well I assure you Martin will not get us promoted, I call it now if we employ him we will be a long way behind Ipswich, Southampton, Sheffield Utd, Wrexham, Birmingham, Coventry for starters probably a few others too. Rudd would have a better chance if backed properly with King and Barry Murphy of getting us back up. I can see if we employ this charlatan that come November/December we need to sack him but don’t have the money, leading us to drop towards the bottom 3, the ground will be empty.

Russel Martin in the PL was more clueless than Van Nistelrooy in the PL. 

 

Russel Martin's style 'winning promotion' was getting them into the playoffs, that's not a good performance with the squad he had and it's not a consistent way to be promoted.

 

I have a feeling youre going to be surprised by just how bad of a manager Martin is. Those two games we had against Southampton in the championship were the easiest we had that season, he's going to make us absolutely rubbish.

Do you think Martins side would have done any better? 5-0, 4-1, 3-2 If anything the new manager improved them so we only beat them 2-0 which really you kinda proved my point for me, he’s shit!

Cooper being an experienced manager managed to somehow gain a few points

and we scored in nearly every game .
