RM coming in isn’t as bad as most are expecting!

MartinBall dominates the championship with the players he will have at his disposal.

Very likeable guy and players seem to really like him as well.

comes across very well in the media and he has a massive point to prove.

i think the recruitment will be decent with him as well.

FM your cup over floweth

I think he'll be a complete and utter nightmare and won't make Christmas

Not for me, short sighted appointment.

The only thing this loser has going for him is he is better than Ruud.

Ruud = runny dog shit

Martin = regular dog shit

He isnt though in what way is he better, his Premier league points per game is worse that Rudd, likely his Championship will too . He is steaming rancid shit

He won’t dominate shit apart from the bottom 3. If we get this guy I think we do a Luton and drop to League 2 the year after. We are basically keeping doing the same shit which is the definition of madness, bring in another piss weak soft as shit manager to keep the shit  mentality and poor culture at the club going when it needs a full restart

He has a rigid policy on style of play, be it good or bad.

Ruud is a complete blank.

I dont want Martin here but dont let your dislike of the man cloud the fact Ruud is our worst manager ever

To be fair, our other Southampton rejects have worked out brilliantly. Great move.

Let's change the home kit to red and white stripes so we can go full tribute act.

He has had no pre season or signings and dealt with a sideshow Cooper left him.

The fact Top won't give him a pre season in the Champ is disgusting should have been decided when he signed

Yes, it feels like we're going out of our way to avoid the reset / rethink / restructure / rebuild, whatever you call it, that has long seemed inevitable. The same people are making the same mistakes, then doubling down on them. I've argued for ages that the best way out for us is for Top to stay but take a more hands-off approach and bring in new people to whom he can delegate powers. But if he were to bring Martin in as boss, I'd have to resign myself to the idea that he needs hounding out of the club.

Little more than a year after we won the league, we were told that the club believed possession-based football to be more sustainable than the quick counter-attacking style that we'd trademarked. While I'm aware that possession-football can be perfectly successful, that it's served us well at times, and that a thousand other errors have contributed to our decline, that's not exactly worked out brilliantly, has it? And the fixation began long before that too, when Pearson was first forced out because, it was said, the prospective new owners fancied a 'progressive continental-style coach'. After Sousa and their own first true appointment, Sven, we had to go begging for Nige to come and sort it all out again.

On the back of having won a promotion with Maresca, but realised that we couldn't realistically carry that style through to the PL, it seems like sheer insanity to turn to Martin. Even if we did go up - and I'm far, far from convinced that we will - we'd be screwed all over again. Talk about not learning from your mistakes.

We won the league eventually as a result of our u-turn on Pearson but, given the fact that big bucks never bought our greatest successes, and much of the KP-era decision-making has bordered on the comical, the point is bound to come when people question whether KP won us the league, or we won it in spite of them.

You have to hope that either Top's actions in the coming weeks avert people getting to that stage, or that a massive and unlikely stab in the dark reaps unexpected dividends. If we want to sustain success again though, it won't be down to a footballing identity which has been imposed on us by a man who knows nothing about either football or Leicester City's 'identity' (if such a thing can be ascribed), it'll be down to KP demonstrating that they can be competent. And that looks less and less likely by the day.

After our worst top flight season of all time, it would be so Leicester to employ the one manager that did it even worse.

It would be so Leicester to further indulge this weird Southampton fetish having learned nothing from bringing in Puel, Vestergaard, Bertrand, Glover...

If you keep signing Southampton rejects, eventually you will turn into Southampton

This will obviously be shit, in the same way RvN was obviously going to be shit, and Cooper was also obviously going to be shit.

Rudkin and Top are just trolling us now.

I would prefer a manager who could potentially go on to lead us in the Prem as well

Unless he has completely changed his tactical ideas that it is Plan A and that is it (as has been the case in all of his jobs so far) I cannot see it going well if he does get us up and no chance will we sack him when we would need to

Managers can learn and change, not my choice but he's 39 so can still develop.
