I agree they are both clown managers but replacing one with the other is pointless. If we are going to go through the process we need to bring in an upgrade. If you aren’t concerned by bringing in a manager our piss weak mentality team destroyed 4-1, 5-0, 3-2 and 2-0 in recent years then that’s unreal too.

Did you read my post saying ‘I don’t want Martin’ ?

or my post saying he is just a “tiny bit better than Ruud” ?

Personally no I don't think it would with Ruud

I know we would have gone under Cooper and I don't think it would have been much better at all if we persisted with him, but I also don't think we would've set that record either - that is all on Ruud for me

I don't rate his tactics at all, an even semi-decent manager with these shite players would've at least got us going along being able to at least score 1 goal in 9 games, Ruud somehow managed to completely rip that out of the squad

Ruud is done at this club for me - I will never be able to come around to liking him as our manager

He genuinely tried to play Daka as an attacking mid ffs - the blokes a tactical clown

Correct

Point is he ISNT any better, that’s seems to be the logic our bard is working with and it has absolutely no basis. What makes him better? Nothing. He was as awful in the Prem and came 4th in a 3 horse race in the Championship.

We need better but it has to actually be better and ideally a chance to drain the swamp, bring Martin in is more of the same.

I 100% disagree, we was the 3rd worse team in the league Ruud had no hope and with no pre season and manging pre madonas like Winks and Coopers transfers its no suprise where we finsihed

😂😂😂 all I’m saying is RM would be a better fit for us next season in the championship than RvN! Obviously I would prefer other managers to come in but I think it’s a certain Martin is already been agreed.

I genuinely don't think you can even compare the records of Cooper and Ruud fairly for this season either

Yes Ruud may have beaten both Southampton and Ipswich but both of those games had pretty much nothing on the line and weren't really competitive

Southampton actually put up much more of a fight against us under Martin compared to whatever that was from them against us the other week

I believe it would be useless to try and use those games as a barometer for how he would do in the Championship

I don’t think Martin is a good fit at all unless you want to keep doing the same with the same crap. We need someone strong to come in and sort this mess out, give us some fight and mental strength. We need another mentality weak tippy tappy manager like a hole in the head.

Point is, they are both shit. But which one of them has a better managerial record in the Championship?

Unfortunately it looks like it is incredibly likely we are going to be stuck with a vast majority of the same crap!

Someone strong isn't going to make much difference at getting rid of all the overpaid pillocks throughout the squad

Well Rudd has never managed in there he might storm it. Martin can 4th in a 3 horse race got spanked 5-0 by us and Sunderland plus a few other piss weak mentality.

It’s just a waste of PSR cash we don’t have, a sideways move to sack Rudd and replace with Martin. I don’t see him doing any better.

Looking forward to Brussel taking us on an unbeaten run like this, while using Choudhury as an inverted full-back đŸ’Ș

As much as I also don't like Martin I do somehow think he would actually do a decent job in the Championship with our squad because it suits how he will want to play (a bunch of tippy tappy wusses), but I don't want him either if that would be possible

I was reflecting on the game last week. We were actually awful. The result and the atmosphere around Vardy totally masked it.

Ipswich missed some huge chances and we didn't create an awful amount. The keeper should save Kasey's goal.

I want a manager who can solidify our midfield. The current combinations are just so pedestrian. We haven't replaces the energy of KDH and what Ricardo gave us when stepping out of defence.

So that should rule him out

The time for gambling is over

We need a safe bet

(Martin isn’t that safe bet either)

No but someone strong will deal with them, whereas Martin is likely to bring them into be key players again. I don’t want to watch most of them if I’m honest, I’m sick of this bunch. Rudd was sorting out Winks and Vestaguard. They are written and need keeping out of the environment.

I’d rather go for someone a bit different Rohl, it’s a risk but I’m sick of the same old managers with no imagination. We need a bit more intensity, drive, fight, strength. To be honest I’d take Dyche over Martin but it doesn’t fit with the stupid style the club want. We need a DOF with a brain first

He was setup to fail what do you expect

The issue people are raising with RVN is that he was tactically inept as a manager.

I think the point that your highlighting is that he didn't have a pre-season or a transfer window so the team weren't drilled in his "style" and he may not have had exactly the type of player profile to implement it. I'd argue he did but chose not to play them. ?Ricardo, Mavididi.

My issue is that on several occassions he insisted on playing a high line with zonal marking and a jumbled high press which didn't work. In at least two or three games it evidently wasn't working but he didn't switch to a low block and we conceded the same through ball three times and were dead and buried by the half hour mark.

He also refused to drop soumare who wasn't tracking back and constantly out of position but was in a double pivot with Ndidi game after game.

That is just really simple bad management and cognitively really inflexible he struggles to be reflexive and react to the opposition infront if him.

Every week it was 4231 high line, zonal marking, double pivot. It was found out by the opposition after his 3rd game but he has nothing in the bank so once teams learnt to overload our midfield pivot it was loss after loss.

A manager like that can have several transfer windows and preseasons but that tactical rigidity will always be subpar to premier league standard managers.

It's no suprise Amorim didn't want to keep him on the staff.

Great player and not personal but objectively he's not ready to manage in the Premier league.

I do agree Martin isn't ideal either.
