From the little I saw in pre season, it felt like he wasn't quite ready for that next step up. He's dominated u18s, then u21s but struggled with the first team. A little more time to adjust or a loan down the leagues could be perfect for him. He's clearly a very talented player but not all players can be like monga and ready at such a young age.

I would tend to agree with you about the 'step up' being a struggle if our first team strikers in Ayew and Daka weren't so woeful.

It's not like he has a high bar to reach in order to be the best striker at the club. Daka is a poor finisher, Ayew has poor decision making.

It was fine margins between Evans having a good pre season and him struggling, if Daka had finished that cross and if Ayew had squared it while in space we would be talking differently around him.

I think if we gave Evans the same minutes that Daka and Ayew receive then he would do better for us in those minutes.

I wonder if selling McAteer would affect any loan move for Evans, or would they still look to do that and use Wanya Marcal or Silko Thomas?

I feel like Wanya has more about him then Kasey does.

Kasey’s very harmless. He’s a hard worker but havnt seen him bear a man since we played Hull at the start of last season (his best performance in a city shirt to date imo).

Wanya is nowhere near good enough. Shouldn’t even be mentioned in regards to the first team.
