Can't say I was familiar with him but remarkable to now read some of his previous comments on shootings and their victims. Awful thing for a family to have to witness.

Presumably someone willing to take his word for it and use their gun on him.

Can’t see a lot of hope for the US, the country is so polarised it’s unreal.  I also can’t believe that there aren’t more anti Trump demonstrations up and down the country, with him sending troops into blue states, trying to rewrite US history, ICE deportations, trying to deflect his involvement with Epstein, Kennedy Jrn creating chaos as Secretary of Health. The list is endless and still another 3 + years of this shitshow.

That's what you get for having a two-party democratic republic (not a democracy, as many over here and there claim it to be). Add to that a lack of education as well as the influence of the media establishment (vastly on the side of the Democrats, I might add), and it spills over here easily.

Why?

Because the media is dominated by left-leaning people (that's no secret and a fact), and because they take everything "Democrat" as gospel, even though it's just another right-leaning party (just with a more liberal touch in certain areas).

The infiltration and obedience is unreal.

There is no true left-wing party in the USA, both the Dems and Republicans have all the power and clinging onto it. Just look at all these old farts in the House and Congress.

Absolutely stunned by this, the guy was happy to debate and listened to all opinions

Why are the left so damn violent when it comes to disagreeing with others ffs

Really, seems you have conveniently forgot about the murders of our own MP Jo Cox,  or the more recent gunning down of the Democrat Leader of the House in the State of Minnesota and her husband. The violent closing down of political voices has never has been the preserve of either the left or the right in worldwide. To claim otherwise is disengenuous at best.

The things he spouted as a right wing commentator, a lot of people were gunning for him!.

Only loonies "gun" for people who they disagree with.

Have you seen the video of the alleged shooter? Pathetic excuse for a human being, a white boomer.

All the things he could do in his spare time, but no – let's go and shoot a Conservative.

Tragic day for Charlie Kirk's family. He now leaves a widow and young kids behind.

No suspect identified yet, the video/pic of the 'old' white dude is fake.

The major outlets in the US lean towards Democrats (the so-called "Liberals"), the distribution is about five to one in terms of TV networks. The two, three major US newspapers are Democrat-leaning, as well.

In (Continental) Europe, the distribution of the political orientation among media professionals is about the same.

Whilst not wishing this on him or his family, it is now difficult to have any great sympathy for him personally given his previous pronouncements and his own lack of empathy.

Agreed. Feel massively for his kids and it should never have happened but hard to feel any sympathy for him personally.

He has said despicable things about innocent shooting victims added on with all his lies and conspiracy theories.

Nobody has yet been arrested for his murder, so it would probably be wise not to have a go at 'the left' until it's confirmed his killer is indeed from 'the left'. Trump's shooter last year was a registered republican voter.

Ah some random on LinkedIn said so, must be true.

Insane that you can just scroll Twitter and that pops up on your feed. Incredibly grim viewing.

Social media has become completely ungoverned over the last 10 years. This sort of content has always existed but you had to actively go looking for it. Now you can be just shown a murder unsolicitedly and it's just normal.

Which one? Routh's political views are sketchy, to say the least. Same goes for Crooks.

Nobody has made allegations Kirk's shooter is from the "Left", btw. As for me, I was pointing out the poisonous politics/media mix in the US.

Some very disturbing views from some people on here - reactions to stuff, we see you and will remember.

The bloke had a wife and kids, let’s hope nobody celebrates your death when it comes around like that, honestly some fruitcakes about.

Please can you identify those celebrating, I have seen no such comment.

A handful of posts that have since been removed, though a couple have been quoted by others and are still visible.

Crooks is the one I was talking about, and while I don't know much about his views, my statement said he was a "registered Republican voter", which is true.

And what has the shooters family done to deserve your idea of punishment?

I fail to see how the family personally get anything out of any form of punishment. I know if it was me the last thing I would need is another life lost.
