They really need to accept they are in the playoff and start preparing accordingly.  Work out how they want to play that game (regardless of who the opposition turns out to be), what the right personnel is and how they manage the intervening matches to give the best chance that the players they want/need are fit and available.

How do they want to use Williams?  How do they make sure Mouchon is ready?  How do they produce a performance that isn't limply passive?  Can they find a loophole in the contract with Spurs and cancel Neville's transfer?

So many things to resolve. They seem no nearer to a recognisable system of play or a first choice line-up than on day one of the season.  Even with the limited quality, that basic stuff should have been sorted out months ago.

Needs the boot and someone in who can sort them out over 4 games and prepare for the play off, but I’ve heard he’s on a 3 year deal so most likely can’t afford to boot him.

That would be bonkers if it's true.

When our players are lucky if they get a 2-year contract, how can you offer a manager (that kind of got the job on a technicality) a 3-year.

We were desperately poor today, probably our worst performance at home this season. Brighton aren't a great team and they just dominated us the whole game. Definitely could/should have been 2 or 3-0.

Genuinely can't see any way forward. I don't want to see us relegated, but it feels like it will do us some good in a way. Similarly to when the men's team got relegated to league 1 (history repeating), it allowed the team to turn over a new leaf and refresh.

As a side-note, the level of officiating in the WSL is horrendous and i know Bompastor raised it, but i don't know how more isn't being discussed about it.

Almost every game I've seen this season the ref is dreadful, sometimes we benefit from it, but just as often we're the victims of it.

Certainly the ones that benefit from it the most are the top 4.

Agree they need a change going into the last 4 games and inevitably the play off.

Neville makes Courtney Nevin look like Lucy Bronze.

Understand Passmoor is on a 3 year deal so if he’s around for the play off, coupled with the abysmal away record, it’s hello to WSL2

Billiard is an absolute tool. Straight from the book of Rudkinomics.

Who's going to start the 'Rick Passmoor - Only 27 Months Left' thread?

I just had a bit of delusion and thought to myself that surely he would get sacked at the end of the season even if we don't get relegated. But I snapped myself out of it, I doubt he will, will he.

It's ok. He won't be managing the women's team next season. He'll be managing the men in League One

Just as easy for them to fold the team than sack him, loads out of contract in the summer. I think Reading dropped from Premier League to League 1 and finished their women’s team or reduced them to part time if I remember right.

Dwindling crowds, and id imagine the wage bill higher than it’s ever been with Lehmann and Neville coming in.

If they were serious about the women’s team then they would have invested but it’s always been half a dozen players in, half a dozen players out for the 3 seasons I’ve followed them. The signings were lazy, some have links to Villa (Billiard) or West Ham (Passmoor) and ultimately it’s those two who will take this team down.

Invested in who? Anyone who’s anyone will go to the only 4 decent teams in the WSL & anyone else you might of heard of & probably on their way down anyway will want extended contracts on silly wages….& I think, I think we didn’t like that model 🤷‍♂️

Tierney is probably still first name on the team sheet like she was 4 years ago, which shows there has been no squad progression.

I get what you are saying, but the inclusion of Mayling, Neville and Lehmann are a net improvement in quality compared to pre-january transferwindow, it's the style of play and tactics that are holding us back, not necessarily the personnel.

Personally I really don't rate Tierney, she was our best player yesterday, but not because of quality, she was just one of the only ones to put in a proper shift and showed fight.

Ironically, Lehmann and Neville had shockers yesterday. Mayling also didn’t have her best game, but they just don't seem to be given the licence to overlap and make those runs forward like they had on their first couple of games (in which they all looked promising).

Another subject to moan about.

How on earth are we going into another stint whereby we have pretty much another 4 weeks until our next game!?

I get the expansion of the WSL should help, but with how many huge gaps there is constantly, it's not going to resolve it.

International breaks are going to kill any momentum the WSL has.

Denny Draper back playing.

McLoughlin selected for England u23s (not good enough for Passmoor’s first 11)

Ale was missing on Sunday, Scarlet Fever and Tonsilitis.

The dropping of McLoughlin said a lot for me. Stand out against Liverpool by a country mile.

The continued use of Neville as a left back another sign of just shit management

Good to see Denny is capable again, was really worried.

I had a feeling Liv maybe had an underlying injury that was keeping her out the starting 11, but her continued inclusion in these squads puts that to bed and makes it even weirder.

Liv hasn't played as well recently as she did at the start of the season where she was outstanding. I do think that Jansson serves a purpose as a CDM and hasn't been too bad, Tierney is then your typical playmaker and Liv is your box-to-box. It means we lack creativity, but none of our players have that anyway, so we just have to play with what we've got.

Playing Lehmann as a 10 just doesnt work as she doesnt have the physicality to compete.

Thats the problem with the 10 role, and to a certain extent the 9.  Historically Shannon down the left, Missy down the right has worked on occasions, I’ve never seen them or indeed Cain or Lehmann do anything in a central position, to me they are all wide players. Just being ‘busy’ doesn’t warrant inclusion, Cain produces zero goals in an advanced role.

Only really have Mouchon through the middle. The 10 role is up for grabs because, and I hate to say it, Eiriksdottir (out on loan) and Williams can’t run. They’ve just replaced one with the other.

All of the signings apart from McLoughlin are underwhelming, Neville was finished two years ago when O’Brien ran her ragged in the cup semi final.

As someone said earlier. When Tierney is your captain after 4 years in the WSL it shows a lack of progress on the squad.

Passmoor and Billiard are dinosaurs, simply adding big names who have consistently failed to deliver in recent times. Lehmann benched at Como, benchwarmer in her final Villa season. Neville also lost her place. Van Egmond is basically Aileen Whelan, who was finished 3 seasons ago.

The women dont deserve it but the club absolutely deserves the drop for ‘playing at it’ season after season rather than appointing decent managers and having proper interest instead of a half arsed Rudkin who had no plan in place when the previous DOF left Dec 24 and players walked away after late contract offers were tabled.

They need to prepare for the play off, and Passmoor needs the boot.

Lehmann out of the Switzerland squad with injury.

Shouldn't be too concerning, there's a long time until the next game unless it's something serious.

Bet she is off after her first good first team season, it would be typical Leicester.
