CJ Bott has also joined Wellington Phoenix.

Gone back home, probably a great move for her personally.

I believe her husband is maybe a professional footy player in NZ or Aus too.

Sounds good. Obviously weird timing for the kits in regards to the mens team, but otherwise glad to hear that we've sealed a couple of new signings, good start... few more sooner rather than later too please.

Also, happy to hear we are continuing with the KP shirt sponsorship rather than the rubbish betting company that the mens team will end up with.

They did something similar last season if I remember rightly? Wasn't Mace one of those unveiled?

Rated highly by the Irish at International level, replacing Rebekah Dowsett who’s gone to West Ham. Very much a 3rd choice but I think this is Leitzig’s last season so expect Liv and Katie to battle it out for the No 1 spot in 26/27.

Things getting into shape a little more now.

There was also the additional 2 signings for the kit release event on Thursday. But thinking about it now, maybe thats Bourielle + 1 more to be announced at the event.

Our LCFC Women squad has been strengthened further this summer with the exciting addition of experienced American Celeste Boureille.

  • LCFC Women sign Celeste Boureille in a permanent deal
  • Defensive midfielder signs one-year contract at King Power Stadium
  • The 31-year-old has made over 200 senior appearances
  • Celeste to attend LCFC Women kit launch on Thursday 7 August

I believe @SK3Blue mentioned that they didnt think she'd return, but she doesn't seem to have officially left yet.

To be fair, wouldnt be a bad squad player to have around, but who knows if/how she's developed whilst being on loan.

Made 12 appearances for her loan club (according to Wiki), so quite regular play time.

Though the season seems to run until November, so I guess may stay there until the end of their season.

We drew 0-0 to Everton in pre season.

One bit from the Everton article was: With two minutes of the first match remaining, Momiki was inches away from haunting her old club with a venomous effort from the edge of the box.

Signed *midfielder Heather Payne on a free after being out of contract with Everton.

Can't say I know too much on her, but seems to be a regular starter for Ireland and Everton.

Good to see another player through the door.

Interesting its another Irish player, wonder if its coincidence or purposeful scouting.

*looking further into it, seems as though she is more of a right-back/winger. Which is more aligned to what we need.

‘Bringing My Experience’ – Payne On City Switch
Heather Payne

by Admin

Our LCFC Women squad welcomed another summer recruit earlier this week with Republic of Ireland’s Heather Payne joining the Foxes on a two-year contract.
Heather Payne signs having most recently featured in the WSL for Everton
The new recruit is an experienced full-back with international caps to her name
She can’t wait to get going in Leicester blue, now beginning preparations for the new season
The 25-year-old defender arrives in Leicestershire with Barclays Women's Super League experience having spent the past two seasons playing regularly for Everton.
Also an established player with the Republic of Ireland, she is determined to bring her passion and experience to the team as Amandine Miquel’s side gear up for an exciting 2025/26 campaign.
Heather Payne
"I'm Irish so I'll bring a distinctive kind of passion to the game,” the full-back outlined. “I've always been really hard working and keen to get forward as a defender. I want to provide more goals and assists for the team this season.
“With Ireland I have over 50 caps and I’ve played consistently in the WSL for two years with Everton. Hopefully I can bring all of that experience to the team. I want to keep improving and do as best I can with the group."
As City’s sustained progress continues, following our record points total last season, Payne hopes to help drive the Football Club forward in the forthcoming campaign.
Heather Payne
"This is a Club that is on the up,” she added. “For me personally, it's a place where I can develop, and I've heard really good things about the team itself and the staff. They were keen to have me here, which is always a really good bonus.
“King Power Stadium is really nice and it's important for the women's team to play here. For us to have access to this, it's absolutely incredible.
“Belvoir Drive is an outstanding facility and that's an added bonus, having access to everything you need as a player. It looks really good and I'm excited to get to work there.”

PSA...

The first 2 home game's kick-off times have been moved to 12:00.

The Spurs game has also changed days! Originally scheduled for The 27th of October as an evening kick-off, now moved to 28th.

Love the communication from the club... I only realised as I needed to check a couple of fixtures.

Someone had previously mentioned that kick-off times could be to blame for declining attendances, well having games start at 12 is definitely not the answer!!!

I’ve done a few 12 starts in London mate, horrible, the Liverpool quarter final as well that was a Saturday at 11.30 I think.

Also got a lot of kids playing Sunday junior football at those times.

Yep, thats my issue, fortunately my daughter plays in the Leicestershire league, so we wouldn't we too far out the way and kick offs tend to be a bit earlier, it will still be cutting it fine!

Interestingly Boureille and Payne are represented by the same agency. Surely can't be a coincidence.

Just something ive stumbled upon... Useless bit of knowledge for the day.
