I find it odd that no other clubs have taken a approach like arsenal and Chelsea in really investing in their womens team considering the relatively very low cost of players, especially compared to the men's game.

Even if the owners don't care about the women's team, at very least success will be good marketing for the club and eyes on the club. Its a win/win. But no other club seems to see it.

I know attendance is a lot lower than the mens game, but we’ve seen increases year on year, more engagement with the community and womens football is set to become the 5th most popular sport in the world by 2030. Its a baffling backward decision to let it rot. We also saw improvements on the pitch, a good cup run etc.

yep, it wouldn’t take a lot of work to 100% increase the attendance, it’s a genuine area of growth

Exactly, an investment on the pitch will bring success and in turn greater and greater attendance.

If we were able to get in before it does indeed become too expensive (which we are starting to see with the £1m transfer for Olivia Smith), then we could solidify ourselves as at least a top half WSL team, particularly as no one else seems to see the opportunity.

But leave it too late and playerflation will take effect like it has in the men's game.

Other clubs attempted plenty of tactics to boost the crowds too. We've just sat offering Male ST holders the occasional free ticket. Some clubs did double headers. Some clubs did special event days. Some clubs built rivalries - why have we not taking advantage of Birmingham City's poor performance to create a genuine top flight derby v Villa?

They've done very little other than suggest it's there for FFP relief.

There are only 5 or 6 players from last season I'd consider a loss if they went.  That's the first of them gone.

Who’s the other? I’d imagine Mace, Rantala, Leitzig can’t really think of any more

I was working from a memory of having previously thought there were 5 or 6!  So thinking about it again now to come up with names, I've got Rantala and Mace in addition to Momiki, then Leitzig, Kees and Las just a bit below them.  I still rate Leitzig but she seems more replaceable as time goes on.  She's a bit tied to the goal-line and not great with the ball at her feet but still makes some great saves.

Huge loss

Genuinely gutting, our standout player since joining, you know what you are going to get from her every single game.

I'd take a team of Momiki's any day, maybe even in goal.

What on earth are the owners doing? We'll be lucky if the manager doesn't leave at this rate. Who could blame her?

Trying to save King Power.  I have been waiting for them to sell for a while, the love that was there for the club is gone now.

I think inevitable may be a bit too defeatist. The team is still very capable of getting results, particularly at home where a lot of the time we look like we could beat anyone.

Assuming we don't bring anyone in, of course we are in trouble and will be in a battle, but I don't think we're immediate relegation fodder.

Inevitably bottom, but bottom plays 3rd in the championship in a play-off, which realistically we should be able to beat. Basically taken the position that relegation for any WSL side is highly unlikely so write the season off before pre-season has even started. Another top bit of work from the clowns on the board.

It was the Olympics last year and the WSL started 2 weeks later than it will this year.

Transfers probably will step up after the Euros though.  Putting the telly on is probably the amount of effort Leicester are putting in to scouting.

Hannah Cain scores for Wales

With finishing like that I think we've found our Vardy replacement. Can't be any worse than Daka. Free agent too, so a striker we can actually afford
