If he's planning on starting Soumare there's an issue there.

He should be nowhere near the pitch. No exceptions
.

Him and a few others shouldn't even be training with the first team never mind starting in the last pre-season friendly.

We should be making it uncomfortable for these dog shit high earners to really force them out. It's the only way.

Got no problem with Mavididi and Fatawu getting first go - Monga just needs to bide his time and hopefully he gets a good chunk of games rather than 10 minutes. He's a special talent but he does need to be managed to an extent.

Midfield is an issue and he must surely see that. We need a striker, but I think centre midfield is an even bigger priority but we need to get rid of shit currently there first.

With a new manager everyone has a clean slate, and with a current choice of Ndidi, Winks, Skipp or Soumare in the double pivot he will feature whether we like it or not.

No. There isn't a clean slate.

Soumare has relegated us twice and refused to play in this division. He's been terrible and has shown us contempt. He's lost nearly half the games he's played. He's in the last year of his contract and we've got - Winks, Ndidi, Monga, and Alves all capable of playing that role. He's here to coin it and has open content.

There is no clean slate.

Cifuentes picking Soumare is a major error of judgement and indicates he doesn't know what he's walking into.

Using terms like 'double pivot' doesn't make you seem correct, I'm not interested in your football PhD. He's been ****ing dreadful for this club and shown us contempt. If Cifuentes thinks he's the right man then there is a serious issue in his judgement of players and knowledge of the context of the club.

Ndidi also relegated twice, Winks relegated once and fell out with the last manager after refusing to stop at the training ground, so based on those arguments we're not playing many of the current squad.

Its not his fault who he's inherited and all their baggage.

Until we sell the unwanted player's who want out and Cifuentes gets his own players in, unfortunately he doesn't have much choice to play some of them.

We're not starting a team of 16 years and getting promoted which is the target.

I think any manager worth his salt will come in and think they can improve the players at their disposal. We don't know if Marti has come in and seen something in Soumare that make him think he could be useful to us this season.

For the manager all players should be given a clean slate. Whether or not they got us relegated previously should be irrelevant (just to clarify I would like him and many others to get in the bin).

Probably should be if you reckon Monga and Alves can play in the role that Soumare did yesterday lol

God forbid that a manager comes in and makes his own judgment on the players available to him rather than consult a supporters message board and base his decisions on what he reads on there.

You're missing the point. We arent absolutely tied to have a 'double pivot' and that fancy terminology shouldn't be an excuse to get Soumare in the team.

If you're on the side offering excuses for his inclusion then you're on the wrong side of the argument.

But we have to play an inverted trequaresta with a differential pounder so we have to play Danny Ward on the wing.

Making an argument for including gash that has some vaguely fancy words in is still making an argument for including gash. When that gash is Soumare you've made the crappest point possible.

“He"  didn’t do anything on his own, I care more about wining games then grudges – loads of footballers are arses I am not sure what he actually did that deserves this level of hate.  I think he has been very inconsistent with moments of promise , if plays well play him!  when he does not perform drop him , and What a player gives to a system is relevant that’s more  GCSE than PHD

Iv a question for you - if he plays a big part of our season and we get 90 points will you still consider it a “major error of judgement” ?

We've lost slightly above half of the games he's played in.

I'm done arguing with people who think after 100 games of garbage he's still promising  deserving of a chance.

He isn't and he doesn't.

You did not answer the question ?

I'm not going to either. Pointless hypothesising.

This is question is looking for excuses in an unproven, undecided future. It is intangible.

What IS tangible and what I will deal with

Nearly 100 games.

50% loss rate.

Refusal to play in the championship last time.

Awful performances largely every game.

A universally acknowledged problem with effort.

Zero goals.

He shouldn't be playing at my club. I've watched him home and away, UK and abroad.

He is not fit for purpose. We will deal with the facts rather than a spurious and disingenuous hypothetical scenario.

The only answer that makes sense is well ok I would have been wrong,  if hypothesising was pointless you would never have tactics of a team talk would you? Sometimes we all get things wrong

it’s just you can’t bring yourself to admit that.

No. Soumare shouldn't play for Leicester again after these last four seasons. He's been a disgrace regardless of what happens.

That's not a radical point of view.

I’m no fan of Soumare… however if the new manager has the same effect that Enzo had on Vesty, RVN on Thomas etc etc then happy days.

If he doesn’t think he can or if it doesn’t transpire then sell.

The main problem is, as always, our inept board have given that new manager 3 weeks instead of 3 months to make those decisions. So frustrating that we handicap ourselves through laziness

I want Soumare gone but if noone takes him then we have to consider him an option.

But, Soumare didnt get us relegated twice. The team he played in did. Soumare didn't feature as much in the first relegation season but agreed played a lot last season.

OK , that is a consistent coherent  point of view.  Personality id reserve that level of contempt for someone that did something really heinous.

My most Significant tangible right now is he played well in an effective team performance yesterday ,  but ok fair enough I get you.

Yeah perhaps the wording I've used is off. It should read - "Soumare and a hand full of others got us relegated through substandard performances and I hold them accountable"

He played in twenty six games in the first relegation season. Don't let time dim that.

His apathy and lack of work rate cost us goals and games over those two seasons.

He also refused to play in this league last time . Why should we give him a chance? It's obviously a shop window for him to **** off at the end of the season for nothing. I wonder if thats why he's deinging to play.
