Be a bit weird having 5 fingers, you need a thumb

Just shows how daft some of our fans are.

I bet the cov fans let them sing that one while laughing at us.

It was their fans who sang that, which was in response to Champions of England, you’ll never sing that.

Yesterday was only the second time they’ve sold out here, the first was two years ago

Piss poor from a club that considers us their main rivals

I remember them being thrilled up with themselves that they got a sell out when we last played them in the Championship.

I acknowledge their atmosphere is decent now but they've been absolutely ****ing hopeless for the last 50 years.

A pisspoor non entity of a club

Any crusties complaining about the TIFO yesterday out of curiosity? I was stuck in a queue and didn't get in until 5 mins after kickoff, but I read the Union FS poster on my way up and noticed it had specifically addressed this, ridiculous they have to go to that level of walking on egg shells to get them on board.

Just seen this brilliant tribute from Sunderland and couldn't help but think if that happened at the KP there would still be some melts complaining that they couldn't see Soumare and Skipp tripping over their laces as they trudge out of the tunnel. :dunno:

Got to be one of the worst excuses ive ever heard. The old firm doesnt seem to struggle. Just face it, we have a fair weather fan base that can only create an atmosphere if its going well. Only a few clubs like Leeds, Sheff Wednesday, Man United who still actually sing if they arent dominating

The old firm is a bit different due to the fact they actually hate each other. I cant comment on their 12:30 kick offs but Scots are normally on the piss earlier. 12:30 kick offs always have a shit atmosphere in my opinion.

Man Utd? Have you been to Old Trafford recently? its a library!

Not many UK teams sing anymore if they aren't dominating, the whole country is light years behind Europe. I went to a Villa champions league game on hospitality last year and the atmosphere was shocking compared to the ones we had.

I think out atmosphere can be okay if the team are serving up decent performances, for the last 4 years we've been served up some right dross by the club, management and players so its not unreasonable to see a bit of despondency. You cant really support nothingness, no identity, no style, not even fight. I think that is slowly changing but it will take time.

I can see far more empty seats being quite normal at the KP very soon.

The poor running of the club, no drive, no direction, no effort from the above has left everyone feeling demoralised, helpless and frustrated and when money is tight something has to give.

It’s been pointed out on Saturday that there were many seats vacant and that isn’t a surprise to many anymore

Thats because its full of tourists, like Anfield. I was on about Man Uniteds away support who still sing when they are losing.

‘I think our atmosphere can be okay if the team are serving up decent performances’ - thats whats known as a fair weather fan base. Which this club has always had. Sheffield Wednesday have had it far worse then us for years and yet still turn up vocally every week.

The Hawthorns seems to be a good ground for atmosphere in terms of how the noise travels, like many other old-style stadiums. I thought it was fairly loud when it did get going, but expected better from the home fans in all honesty. Not aided by the empty seats towards the right of the away section which was surprising.

They don’t.

Hate talking on other clubs atmospheres when comparing tomothers. But having seen their home atmosphere first hand plenty of times over the last seven season we are miles ahead of them in a run of the mill game. Their L1 area is over.

Away from home Im told by mates they can still turn it on now and again but far to many go ‘to go Wednesday away’ rather than to make noise. My mates say they were miles more fun away from home ten years back.

Saw a few Man City fans saying last year their drop off on the pitch seemed to lead to a big upturn in their vocal away support.

This wasn’t the case in fairness on second viewing but there were certainly areas with empty seats last night.

Why do empty seats in the home end stop you singing?

Not saying it does, but packed-out areas can obviously maximise the level of noise produced.

The definition of the team turning up is debatable. Watching 4 years of sideways passing, and Yanik standing on the ball, with tossers cupping their ears etc and performances where the players have been perceived not to have given their all. I think most fans can take shit, and get behind players that arent that good, the issue is when they dont appear to try. There is a general disconnect that goes beyond the fans at the club in general. One thing I noticed in the Wednesday squad at least against us, they put in a damn good shift.

You get players trying, getting stuck in, going on runs etc the atmosphere will 100% be better at every ground. You cant make noise when there is absolutely nothing to make noise about.

The players are trying. Last season no, but this season they clearly are.
