There was over 2,000 empty seats in the away end alone. 
 

Loads of boxes empty.

 

Visibly 1,000s empty in west stand and north west corner.

 

Then if you looked carefully around the ground there was a lot of empties spread out.

If you looked at the West Stand, it was evident. Normal seating was pretty full. The corporate seats were almost completely empty. Who wants to fork £200-300+ out for a League One game.

 

That corner hospitality was completely empty (Gallery it was I think).

Drum or not, as a collective us fans need to put words into action. As I said a few posts above, SK1/parts of SK2/G2 showed promise early doors yesterday. It was a shame it went 2-0 as that killed any momentum. Hopefully the next games improve on the pitch and things can kick on.

It did start well yesterday, agreed.  And looking at the ticket sales pre game and the actual crowd on the day, the uptake of tickets in sk1 and g1 seems to have improved.

The goals did kill it.  I've always been vocal at football and really like what ufs try to get going, but weve had two years of this now.  Going 2 nil down AGAIN sort of kills your enthusiasm and appetite to sing.  It did me anyway. I mean, if im honest, the last time i was truly lost in the moment and elated at a game was at Southampton away with ayews last minute winner.  Thats around 2 years ago and im missing that feeling......its probably a big part of why a lot of us to go football.  

 

If we can get some performances and wins i do feel the potential for sk1 and g1 to be better this year is there.

So a lot of empty seats are the posh business parts as well as normal fans like us.

 

The corporate areas being low on uptake will hurt their finances as this is where match day money is made, not from us STH plebs.

 

 

We pay for cov hospitality (I don’t go) they are in the premier league and it’s loads cheaper than our prices In league 1

 

they couldn’t even sell hospitality last season we got invited for free 

 

another example of the club having their head in the clouds around pricing and the arrogance of thinking it is ok to charge this much in league 1. For people still paying these prices there are genuinely no words in the dictionary for you

Our fans are weirdos. Heard on the TV singing about how Ipswich haven't won anything for 40 years, but then singing how they live in the past... Of course it's good to remember past achievements etc but when we're in the mess we're in right now it's tinpot to make it our whole personality.

Doesn't help with KO time and the home fans offering nothing but it all felt very flat.

don’t think you have to have “Russell Martin is the saviour blinkers” on to think that chanting about relegation 3 matches into the season when we are actually playing alright isn’t the greatest help.

We are NOT "playing alright".  Look at the league table for evidence.

 

Relegation (again!!) is far more likely than promotion under this manager and this regime.

Don't think that stadium could ever generate an atmosphere. 

 

Its clearly better suited for concerts and stuff than football.

 

Would hate to have to go there every week to watch home games.
