Don't get how this is good for PL, at least not for the fans? 

 

Sources have suggested the deal could be seen as good news for the Premier League given it adds another big broadcasting name to the football rights market and should not lead to an overall reduction in the TV pot.

Oh it's definitely not good for the fans, although some of the PSR bootlickers might see it that way

TNT's owners are potentially being bought our by Paramount's owner, so it might be the rights transfer over under one brand, negating another sub. Though an increase in rights usually means only one thing anyway, even with the Europa and Conference going to Sky.

 

Paramount also own Channel 5, so lots of speculation as to whether that becomes an outlet for highlights/live matches.

Think BBC are still keeping the highlights .
