If you watch videos of Daka before he came here almost every goal he scored was from a through ball or over the top.

He's always been asked to do more here & he's just never been up to it. Very poor scouting by the club

Exactly why he’s not made for English football. How many times do you actually see a striker 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper in both the championship or the premier league? It’s rare now.

You’re right it does seem rarer, but he was signed when Vardy was scoring lots of those types of goal

100% on paper the signings of both Soumare and Daka appeared amazing signings. I don’t blame the club for making the signing of the two they were exciting signings on paper! Neither worked out in English football and it happens.

Isn't the Saudi transfer deadline quite late in September? So if they are keen on signing him, we don't need to rush to complete in the next 48 hours?

Can't see him going unless we get two forwards in by our deadline though.  Even if we sign that Carranza, it leaves us one injury away from Ayew starting up top and with no ability to really change things at half time.

Regardless of ability we simply look better as a team when Daka comes on.

Completely agree, but I think that’s because we have someone pressing from the front, rather than Ayew’s False 9 role.

It isn’t necessarily down to Daka, any actual striker would do the same job.

Pressing and with pace to threaten in behind.  It stretches team who are pressing us like Birmingham.

But if Daka goes and we have Ayew and A N Other striker we are one injury away from Ayew being our only recognised striking option.  That can't happen! Bur are we really going to get two strikers in by Monday... neh.

Ofcourse it's £10m for **** sake. Jesus Jon there are other numbers available.

£5m should do it, literally anything will do if he's replaced.

What is the minimum we need from a PSR perspective?

Reported £23m, 5 year contract in 2021.

So £4.6m…… ish

What I will say, is his style of play and aggressive pressing changed the game against Birmingham.

He’s like Perez in the same way he works hard but couldn’t finish his dinner at times.

Both do a job for the team.

We don’t have a lethal finisher in the squad though.

This is where we fail every time and we yet again we'll retain an ineffective player, pay his wages until he leaves on a free.

Nothing is ever going to get better if we don't make better rational decisons. Who on earth would pay that much for him at present.

Didn't even know Betis were interested in him.

Hopefully it's just a negotiation thing and they'll come up towards £10m, even if we don't end up getting that much.

If we sell we’d have to get someone in and we’d need to spend close to 10 for it to be worth it so I do understand.

If we already had an actual decent 9 I’d say otherwise however
