I'm sorry if this comes across as patronising, and I don't mean it in the slightest.

I thought it was quite tight, but had noticed before going there that it was a larger allocation than they've given in recent years, despite the stand still being split in the same place.

They'd extended it by allowing an extra couple of blocks in the actual stand with zero concourse space extended; just an extra entrance opened, and no sponsor sheet separating fans that they'd had previously.

I didn't think it was dangerous, but can think how somebody would feel with a child (like if mine had been there). I wouldn't have been comfortable with my lads there when I'd walked in at 7:30.

I hope you're both okay and it hasn't stopped you wanting to go again!

Unfortunately this is how it often is now, and I'd advise getting there at least 45 minutes in advance next time, and then sitting/standing in the stand watching the warm-up.

For context; I'm sure when we we played Sheffield Wednesday this season they had most of their away end locked out as they'd intended to stay in the concourse in protest, but the concourse could only hold 1/3 of the actual away end.

I guess with it being a Friday night more wanted to be on the piss than usual. Can't blame them/me!

All ok thanks did daughter good she’s got anxiety but really enjoys the away days helps get her out her comfort zone.

Bit off the topic of West Brom but when anyone talks about unsafe I always think back to that Peterborough away game around 2011 when we lost 2-1. No exaggeration to say we could have had people die that day. No idea how more wasn't made of that.

Three urinals and a sink to a few thousand fans.

BUT.

Absolute limbs when King (?) scored!!!

edit: going on by someone elses comments about there were probably more people then there should have been in that stand that day - I remember mine and my mates tickets didn't work at the turnstyle (brought from the ticket office at the KP so legit). I think there was a few in the same boat - did they oversell? We got let in - but they made us go via a gate at the corner of the stands, and onto the pitch.... a wtf moment. We then walked along the goal line to inside the 18 yard box before climbing over the advertising hoardings to get into the stand. I mean that is a bit dodgy...

Not a concourse but when we played Everton at home when we won the league, I got the train in from Narborough - to say it was packed was an understatement - it was also absolutely roasting - I was stood face to face with Stan Collymore as I think he still worked for Talksport at the time, two people collapsed on the train and some people got off at South Wigston due to the heat - there were some kids crying etc. It was pretty grim

Great she’s ok….

Maybe ask on here about which away days to swerve - Watford etc.

Heard a few stories like this from that day. I remember the phone-in on Radio Leicester the following Monday everyone being up in arms about it but I don't remember anything being followed up.

It's one of them where it needs something bad to happen for anyone to take any action unfortunately. Something wasn't right. Unforgivable in this day and age.

My favourite ever domestic away, incredible end despite the result. How football should be.

Sheffield Wednesday concourse is tight as f#ck haven't been back since 2013. Leppings Lane for me is still as dangerous as it was in 1989.

Youd hope soon as Sheffield Wednesday get a new takeover, they look to a build new stadium Hillsborough is a hell hole.

There aren't any fences and it's seated, categorically not as dangerous

I've always thought if we'd bagged at Copenhagen away there'd have been serious injuries, was so tightly packed at the top at the stand with hundreds stood in the aisles. I couldn't actually lift my arms for most of the game.

It was bloody freezing that night too!!  Stand seemed metallic with iron railings made it seem even colder.....

Try Peterborough away in 93. We had over half the ground 9k of us. Losing 3-0 cue streakers, pitch invasions trying to get it abondened, trying to burn newspaper from all our tickertape to set the stand on fire. I was only 12 at the time and think thats the only time ive been s**t scared at a game.

Terrible performance from Little's men on the day, a big letdown to all of us who travelled there but at least we had the 4-3 v Swindon play off final thriller at the end of it, albeit another loss!
