The point was rebuilds take more time than 13 games a new manager probably wouldn’t play him straight away either

What wouldn't play a lad getting rave reviews in the championship last season and subject to bids this summer? Over defenders good for a howler every week. What have you seen from him that suggests he's even looking at rebuilding?

We need to go back to basics 442 and play players in their proper positions, play more direct with a faster tempo and overlap the fullbacks.

Left back and strikers are a problem, maybe Aluko at LB but I don't know anything about him. 

 

Strikers we could also play Ayew and Evans. 

 

We just have a horrible squad full of ***** and no creative midfield spark. 

 

The only player that genuinely seems to care is Fatawu, but we'll end up over playing him and he'll get injured.

 

 

Fatawu should be left wing back with the emphasis on wing. Crossing the ball properly with his preferred foot to two Strikers in the box ( to air kick and fall over) Ricardo right side. But I’d be angry if they got anywhere near our box. Let the opposition worry about you. I’ve not seen proper wing backs since Impey and Guppy. Can’t remember them doing much defending either.

He probably has more chance playing under Marti than any new manager who will always favour the senior players as Marti is now at a cross roads plus our main issue is full backs, midfielders and goal scorers, while CBs are a bit of an issue it just goes to show the issues all over the team which can't be fixed overnight or by getting another new manager.

I think they were expecting promotion this season. 
I don’t think they have any sort of long term plans in place. It’s very much short term. 
I’m not suggesting we will but promotion doesn’t do us any good whatsoever. Only financially. We would continue to yo-yo.

So as I asked in my last post what have you seen from him that suggests he's rebuilding?

He can't really rebuild until we have one or two windows considering January is never a good time for transfers it will take time to see any results and more than 13 games

It’s alright being in the camp of “We can’t keep sacking managers”, but if there was some hope and glimpses of seeing Cifuentes potentially turn this around, then we wouldn’t need to be having conversations about potentially sacking him. 

At this moment in time he is making us progressively worse, there’s no need for me to keep bringing up statistics, because the eye test also tells us he can’t set up a team to attack or defend. 
 

I thought that was our worst defensive display of the season yesterday, it was like watching West Ham get battered 5-1 by Chelsea earlier this season, of course nowhere near the brutal scoreline, but seeing the defence and midfield chasing shadows, to the point where Blackburn fans started chanting “Ole” was embarrassing. 
 

We’re not the only team in the Championship who might have to change managers already. Liam Manning and Will Still are both on thin ice. West Brom fans are starting to get disgruntled with Ryan Mason. 
 

Cifuentes needs to show us something in the next two games, that Norwich game especially is massive. If we can’t even beat them with how diabolical their home form has been, then surely Marti’s position is untenable.

 

Imo, he has two games to save himself.

They very likely brought him in for a balanced top 6 push and rebuild, dependant on points deductions. So far he's achieving nothing, he's regressing our players, playing a system they can't play, omitting many of the talented young players we should be integrating more often, and refusing to adapt anything, he seems to think substituting a player on with the instructions of doing the same role and position they are replacing is somehow going to shift a game.  

He's making the problems worse, not better.

Okay based on the fact he's yet to use Ben Nelson would you say he's looking to rebuild?

Genuinely think Fatawu is getting worse game by game now and that’s not me trying to single him out. 
 

This “system” must be a nightmare for a winger to play in

I wanted Gary O’Neil but I don’t even think he would want to come here now.

We’ve had it a lot recently with managers seemingly in the door and then change there mind at the last minute.

Jesse Marsch was another.

Maybe the club haven't told him we need a rebuild they are clueless so it wouldn't surprise you, the last manager fell out with a few senior players and yea he wasn't very good but it shows you how much the board think of these players, we don't know if he has been told by the board to keep certain players happy and playing for whatever reason that is.

Yeah a valuable one, who's been targeted by other clubs and has experience at this level, including him would at least show he's got some kind of eye on the future, whilst not having much to work with transfer wise.

But I would say that these tactics that Cifuentes employs are atrocious.

we are always so open at the back and extremely easy to counter. Teams are watching our games back before playing us and licking there lips. 
Our midfield is wide open, the defence is too high and our attacking is poor.

We should have drew against Sheffield Wednesday, lost to Charlton, were lucky to beat Swansea.

i would genuinely say that if we had lost every game so far this season then we couldn’t exactly say any of the results would be unjust.

The club turned down bids for Nelson because they didn't meet their high valuation of him, do they think that high valuation is getting met whilst Nelsons value is currently stagnating?

What he can do is have a side thats well coach, has a structure, understands how to press as a team and has patterns of play.

 

I've seen nothing on the 13 games so far.

 

Take out Fatawu and James wonder strikes we would have won 1 game.

Probably not but if we lose Okoli or Faes in January he will surely come in to the team.
