No manager since Enzo has played 2 number eights and two wingers. I wasn’t enamoured with that possession system, but in this league it worked. Why that blueprint wasn’t at least started by Cooper last season I’ll never know.

So our fans wanted Cooper out and he wasn’t a good manager so we got rid of him.

RVN was the best thing since sliced bread until we turned on him as well and was sacked so we got our wish there.

He’s going to be great apparently so when Cifuentes gets sacked by your request will everything all be rosy ?

In some ways you're not wrong.

Cooper was a shout as he had done okay at Forest, but unfortunately didn't work out.

 

RVN was a ridiculous appointment. The amount of experience he had should have warned Top off straight away.

But I remember on here, alot of fans really wanted him. I got slated after a few posts to say he didn't have enough experience after, "he's been around the international setup and in charge of a club too".

 

Marti too. A lot of people thought he would be brilliant for us and really wanted him. Posts along the lines of, "he'll change the way he plays with us". Marti talks a good game but I feel he's starting to unravel now.

He did okay with QPR, but it's telling his predecessor is doing much better.

It is possible to consider the managers not good enough as well as those above them.

Passing the ball into space for the wingers run at defenders would be a start. I don’t think Marti has studied that yet. 

 

Marti has now made Ricardo a boring and basic footballer.  Why he isn’t creating constant passages of play with Fatawu and JJ I can’t understand. 

 

Such a waste having Soumare in that position as he can’t and doesn’t want to drive with the ball, if he does he always passes behind the winger, not where they are heading. 

If we can all see the problem, even the Blackburn commentary we’re stating the obvious about our style of play, why can’t the manager and his team.

Then why isn`t all this in the KP out thread? I get its because they cannot be sacked, but you must confess this cycle seems endless until they  do leave or God forbid they actually pivot on this style/manager entrenched behaviour.

As a fan i wholeheartedly agree and would love to see the players I have mentioned never play for us again however from the owners point of view and as a business it is not good optics to have assets costing you over £200k per week or £10m per year rotting away in the stands. Even a club taking any of these on loan in January for loan fee and covering wages would be seen to be hugely beneficial to the club from a business perspective.

We have a problem moving on players full stop. It makes the club completely stagnant. It’s 2025 and it’s truly absurd that we are still having conversations about hamza, Thomas, daka and soumare! True madness. These players should now be a distant memory.

I'm on about Daka and Soumare in particular who can sign contracts elsewhere in January (to foreign teams) and go for free in the summer, think teams can wait 6 months for them to formally join.

So by your logic anyone who doesn't rate Cifuentes is backing the ownership 

 

I think the numerous threads about different protests show it isn't just about Cifuentes

Just frustration on my part and It’s aimed at the ones who think changing the manager is the only reason for the clubs situation, although some can see clearly now that the clubs downward trajectory, rot & decay lies firmly at Aiyawatt’s door.

Seems like Marti does genuinely believe and want this but keeps putting the old guard in the squad. Has he got pressure to do this? Wonder if his hands are tied somewhat by who he selects.

Also, how in earth are we going to remove some of our deadwood in January? Will need to pay clubs to take them.

Marti will only play the youngsters when he's desperate. He's getting to that point now, with us on a losing streak and several managers getting sacked. That's why I think we'll see a few academy lads coming in to the team, subs or starting.

Basically admitted he hasn’t got the balls to bomb out the dogsh!t senior players that are blocking the youngsters

The problem is even if he does play the youngsters, it’s his shit boring tactics that are the overriding issue.

 

If he changes the personnel and his formation/tactics then he can turn this around. 
 

I’ve seen nothing from him to suggest he is better than what we are seeing.

Genuinely not convinced someone will take Daka for free 😆 could very much be his last club unless he plays for peanuts
