Cifuentes strikers have never scored. Mediocre players like McBurnie are scoring because they’re getting chances - our forwards aren’t because our attacks are so laboured and slow.

Hate to say it but McBurnie is a class above what we have at the club

Yes he’s better but the point is he’s an average championship forward historically. Even if we had a 1 in 3 championship striker they wouldn’t score because we don’t create anything resembling a chance

You have to factor in the extra space a good striker makes for everyone else. I think it would be astonishing how much better we would look with a half decent forward.

Frey got 8 goals for QPR last season. Dykes got 8 the season before.

 

22-23 his strikers did well at Hammarby, at Aalborg you guessed it 8 goals.

 

Style of play isolates the strikers, they have 3.1 xG between them, even Wednesday’s forwards have almost double.

I remember saying at the time it was a stupid sale, and would in the end hurt us more than the revenue it brought.

 

Problem is our transfer business is largely reactionary, instead of pro active long term planning.

We have no characters in the side. They are all fine when we are winning but the minute things start to go wrong they throw in the towel. You only have to look at Winks and Vesty behaviour when they didn't get want they wanted. I fear this will only get worse. Behaviour to get Cooper out was also not acceptable. Marti needs to get rid of the want aways (many out of contract in the summer) and build his own team. He clearly isn't happy with their attitudes as evidenced in alot of the post match interviews.
