If this was until the end of the season...maybe? Normally I'd say I don't think he's of the quality we require right now...but honestly beggars can't be choosers, and he knows the club, so...

Genuinely no idea if that would be a sensible appointment or not, given he's only recently been sacked by...*checks notes*...Oxford.

Why?

You’d rather King till the end of the Season than Gary Rowett?

Same as above, you aware of the great job he did at Millwall, keeping Oxford up and solid jobs at Birmingham and Derby?

Why not ?

We talking interim or giving Rowett 3 years JUST because hes available? Either way we shouldn't be rushing into anything! Kingy till the end of the season and clearly others agree 👍

United appointed an interim manager who'd been sacked by a club in the division below, Rowett as an interim to just steady the club wouldn't be awful

Wtf is Gary Rowett gonna say that'll get the players onside?

The players need somebody like Mowbray who has earned some respect during his career.

We need a no nonsense back to basics guy, like big Tone..:: swallow pride and get it done. Just to see us through till some of these contracts expire

Yes it would, when we can get Fuchs and bring some culture back to the club that desperately needs it.

Why did Enzo work then? Mowbray type is not the only way.

With the talk today of us looking at getting in an experience manager - some names to ponder

Roy Hodgson ( Ayew connection put me off) but I think he would ideal in organising the team

Ralf Hasstlhoff

Gerrard

Mowbray

Robin

the former wba manager who went to Spain

To be fair, Batman would probably have more authority. Pre and post-match interviews would not give much away.

He doesn't know the club. He was here for 10 minutes about 25 years ago. There is literally nothing about this club that was the same 25 years ago.

People are shocked with the tripe we are linked with - why?

Who in their right mind would come here for anything other than a pay day.

Someone on the way up maybe, but they would need to be non-risk adverse even then though.

I'm mainly shocked with the users in this thread backing Rowett. The link itself could be weak rumours in actuality.

Rowett as an interim would be uninspiring but ultimately relatively steady and you'd like to hope we could then have a proper clear out in the summer and fresh start with a longer term appointment..

Fuchs shouts are absolutely wild to me atm..

Exactly. Anyone we sign will be here knowing full well that they won't be here in 12 months time. It's a free couple of million quid for a manager that won't care about his reputation.
