That’s a division that Russell Martin has been promoted from before. Has Gerard had any managerial success in England? As far as I’m aware, he has been TERRIBLE in everything other than a two horse race.. listen I don’t want Martin, but what IS bizarre is to want Gerard over him. So does that mean Martin is a prime candidate for this league? Got it. 1
whoareyaaa Posted 9 February Posted 9 February Just now, MPH said: right. But Martin also got promoted from the championship as well as managing Swansea with some degree of success in this division Gerrard has never managed in the Championship, Martin plays slow ponderous football with the Talent Saints had you would have expected him to get them up although it was via the playoffs

However no one cant say Martin is better than Gerrard based on their current managerial careers. One won a league tittle, the other got sacked within 6 months in the same league. Martin got promoted from the championship, a league Gerrard has not managed in so can not judge them against each other here. They've both managed in the Premier League where they've both struggled but perhaps Gerrard did slightly better with a better squad than what Martin had available in the Premier League. 1
LcFc_Smiv Posted 9 February Posted 9 February My only hope around Martin is that we have messed him around twice already, surely hes got enough about himself to tell Top and Rudkin to job on if they try for a third time.

Keep us up, win a very few of you over the within that period - and then stink out next season. That bloke is weird. Not much of a bounce at Rangers - no thanks nailed on 4 in a row with this berk
CornwallFox Posted 9 February Posted 9 February Swear to God, if it's Gerrard, Martin or Potter I'll march on the KP. From here.

Smig123 Posted 9 February Posted 9 February Think we missed a trick in Danny Rohl before the last dude. I know he's managing in a pub league but so is oneil but he has them organised and likes to play front foot football. And Why oh why do People keep banging on about Pearson. He did a decent job but that ship has long sailed 3 1

He’s really not the answer at all. Scotland has been a two horse race for absolute decades. I can not fathom people would use his Rangers tenure as a beacon of hope for us Edited 9 February by MPH
fox_favourite Posted 9 February Posted 9 February On the markets that are open, Dean Smith is still climbing up. I'm sure it was 14/1 this morning now 4/1.

He’s been sacked at every other clubs he’s been at. Martin has experience with 2 clubs in the championship. And success too. With Swansea he improved them after spending nothing more than two bottle tops and half a packet of crisps, before being poached to Southampton with which he got them promoted Edited 9 February by MPH

Blanchflower78 Posted 9 February Posted 9 February Whoever it is well be slightly underwhelmed at best, most likely more so. Look at the state of us right now, we're hardly a draw for anyone of note.
