Some miserable prats on here you've been wanting this for years and now he's done it you're still not happy.

Best case it's a faux sacking and he's moved to some relatively meaningless position, if not he's still going to have a much smaller say in recruitment either way.

I think your 2nd paragraph is why many aren't happy. All it is so far is empty words that have absolutely no substance.

But we are so convinced that whatever Top does it will be so disingenuous deceit or self serving distraction, there can be no satisfactory communication. If there are no acceptable answers, then does it even matter?

It's going to have to be a wait and see. Let's see if we get more communication, there's rumoured interviews coming with the media where I hope there's some meaningful questions asked that he is pressured to answer. Then following that the appointments that show the necessary intention of sorting this mess out, which let's face it could be too little, too late.

To me its one of two things, either a genuine promotion, and still a position of power on day to day activities.  This could also potentially mean technical director will be kind of like a puppet.

Or it could be in reverse Rudkin is effectively moved out of day to day stuff, keeps employment for dignity, and the new technical director takes over his old activities.

It’s definitely a period where  actions speak louder than words imho, as further comms will just infuriate people and piss them off regardless of their content. We need movement and I hope the reason this is surfacing now is that we will soon see it.

This interview is the equivalent to a KPFC free cake and beer. It’s meaningless, Rudkin needs to be removed from the organisation all together, moving him “upstairs” still means he is at the club. If we were sold tomorrow, to a ruthless ownership, Rudkin would be on his bike.

He is heading toward more technical involvement in football, he has the history at the club and his mentality is beyond reproach.

He has not been a technical director yet, but it’s a matter of time.

Get him started here I reckon and slap these silly little boys into men..

But we need to hire someone with a good reputation and a history of doing a solid job, Huth is a massive throw of the dice.

He’s never done that role before - so we would be repeating the same mistake of putting someone in a role who doesn’t have the required experience to do it - aka Rudkin.

This is a key appointment and it has to be head over heart.

I know, but its the bringer of the sexy football show, its Robert Huth. Would be grossly negligent but I would love it.

Not a single person has wanted a Rudkin promotion. We wanted him gone.

All this does is give him a position with more power and it diverts fan attention towards a new guy who will take the blame for his superior.

He's not being promoted in reality. The John Percy article even uses the phrase "moving upstairs" which is lingo for being shifted to a more senior-sounding position to get them out the way.

Also from the article:
"While some fans will be sceptical over Rudkin’s continued involvement, his move ‘upstairs’ suggests that more responsibility will be given to new appointments."

So yes he will still be there, but it seems less and less control over on field matters.

I mean Top is leading the recruitment process, though to be fair past performance isn't an indication of future performance BUT the manager selection hasn't really gone well for the last 2-3 years with a lot of tries.

Probably why they shunted out Whelan make way for Rudkin to take more of her role

Why the assumption it was their decision, what if she decided they were no good and walked.

At the end of the day he will still be at the club, that in and of itself is a problem for any sort of "Revamp".

Either sack those that lead us to where we are now, or don't expect any approval from fans who have been demanding such for the last 4 years.

But fans only see football things, his value to KP is likely far beyond that, and that coupled with whatever support he provided to Top during his fathers passing always made it unlikely he would get the treatment that the football fans thought he so badly deserved.

Its not the ending to the Rudkin involvement with Leicester City we all wanted, but it is a change and from reports from Percy, it seems in the right direction. Admittedly we won't know for a while and Top needs to ensure he is as good as his word.

Yeah you're right. All those chats in Wetherspoon over Rudkin that were along the lines of "I just want him to take up another position. Maybe higher up. Something he's never done before maybe. Maybe even more influence. Be great if we then got a yes man to work below him. That's exactly what this club needs for a real new, successful chapter in our history"

Before your comment I was incredibly sad. You've put everything into perspective now. Of course it's what we all wanted. Now I'll always be happy.

Anyone got a clapper?

Hey man I got you a flask, a ticket in the west stand, and I booked a motel in Milton Keynes for you, your wife, and your wife's boyfriend. Sniff.

Majority of these names mentioned aren’t going to touch us with a barge pole with a role limited to managing our recruitment and having to report to top/rudkin. Again, reality check.

Literally failed upwards.
