Won't be a popular opinion but the replies in this thread are a huge reason why our homes games are so dead. Droves of people that don't actually like going still trudging down there expecting not to enjoy themselves before a ball's been kicked.

I agree

because I work the majority of Saturdays and quite a lot of Tuesday - Wednesday evenings I only get to around 5-10 games a season max so I really look forward to every game I manage to get to and shout so much I always have a sore throat but I get that if you are a season ticket holder and see 1-1 draw after 1-1 draw at home playing turgid football you aren't going to look forward to it

Spurs at home 4-1 gave me hope that the good times would last a few more years. Was the last time the stadium felt electric to me. Felt like a new dawn. How wrong was I..

End of the 2023/24 season had some crackers. Notably Birmingham City and Blackburn. Also weirdly Watford from that season too was great, Vards scoring against a outfield player in goal.

Nothing from last season or this season yet.

Ruud's first game against West Ham, felt like we'd turned a leaf on the turgid Cooperball experiment.

Oh sweet summer child, if only I'd known...

I feel like we all entered a collective coma after that game.

Including Daka, according to the stats. Glad he's finally awake!

Quite surprised to see Birmingham at home popping up in this thread. We had only 5 shots (2 on target) all game in that one. So even fewer shots than in yesterday's game, which everyone is regarding as bang average at best.

Birmingham were awful though (or we nullified them, whichever way you look) and only had 1 shot on target themselves. Going into the game there was a lot of hype around them, unbeaten, but they were shocking.

Completely different to Stoke who offered more than Birmingham did, I think Stoke had more shots on target than us actually, and Begovic actually needing to actually make saves.

I can probably pick out 1 home game a year for the past few years where I have actually really really enjoyed it lol

May 2025 - 2-0 vs Ipswich (Vardy 200/500)

April 2024 - 5-0 vs Southampton

February 2023 - 4-1 vs Spurs

When me and my mates used to Filbert St, or even early years of the KP, I don't think we ever went with an expectation "to be entertained".

We went to be part of the crowd, share in the support of the team and have a few bevies, regardless of the performance, it was an afternoon/evening out with your mates.

Obviously it was more enjoyable when we won, but we'd all prefer to put in a poor performance and win, rather than play like Brazil and lose. Attractive football was nice, but by no means essential to our continued support.

Oh yes. That was actually a really good performance and we either beat Villa 4-2 straight after or just before. After that, we needed 3 wins to stay up with Everton, Leeds, Bournemouth (newly promoted), Southampton, Brentford, Palace, Fulham and West Ham left to play. Certain we would stay up after that. We won only 2 more times and went down of course!

People talking about Ipswich last season for Vardy's goal, I wouldn't say I enjoyed the game. It was a great moment, fitting of the occasion, but we were already relegated and the result didn't mean much, particularly after Vardy got his goal.

For the last proper game I enjoyed, where the match result meant something and I enjoyed the game from start to finish, was the Southampton 5-0 under Enzo.
