Positives with Cardiff are Brian Barry Murphy should be somewhat familiar with Sammy. It’s another step up, playing at the top end of L1, and he can presumably stay living where he currently has been based for Newport.

Makes far too much sense.

I imagine Newport have sorted him accommodation so doubt he would

Yes I watched the game. I’ve actually watched every game this season live. I do understand  those who attend every game  might see things differently, but I maintain that JJ is pretty decent at corners  and shouldn’t be added into the ‘poor’ bracket.

Not having it, floated ball generally taken by the keeper.

He's a lot of things but that's not currently one of them.

Doesn’t float it actually. Usually curls it in.  From fairly high up. Would help if someone challenged the keeper.

Bring him back, see how he gets on in January here and then if he's not had a sniff then loan him out to League One for the rest of the season.

if he comes back and plays, he can only go back on loan to Newport. Can't play for more than 2 teams in a season

He hasn't played for us, so could he not go on loan to another club?

He's replying to Rics post about bringing him back and seeing how he gets on with us in January.  To which I've responded that it could only be in training for the reason The Doctor has pointed out.

Yet Ric mentioned if hes not had a sniff then loan him out, which id presume means he hasn't played for us.

That's all I wanted to confirm.

Presumably you mean see how he gets on in training, exclusively?

Yes, sorry I'd badly worded it. My opinion is we could actually utilise him as we gave abysmal alternatives to Skipp and James and I don't think its a risk to his progression as he ought to get 10-15 appearances here between now and May.

But if Marti hasn't used him by end of Jan then get him back out on loan.

he could. What I mean is if we bring him back, play him a couple of times and decide he's not quite championship level, he could only stay here or go back to Newport

The ideal scenario is that Marti gives him 2 minutes at the end of the game then drops him from the squad for the remainder of this season.

We are very short at CM, with Soumare and Winks banished.

We have Skipp, James, Hamza (who also RB cover)

So it does make sense.

He would have 100% got minutes against Derby.

No reason he couldnt have been on the bench for a league one side today if he was going on loan there, aside from ineptness which with this club is always a possibility.

Im predicting he will be with the squad today.

I just think he going to get minutes here.

The squad is paper thin, big chance for him to push on development wise.

Agree, get him back here. Be nice to have another guy who wants to play for the shirt. Move Winks, Soumare and Faes out to anyone that will take them.
