breadandcheese Posted 27 December 2005 Share Posted 27 December 2005 Well, with all our suspensions, we have to shuffle the pack once more, so here is the team I would go for. Henderson Maybury McCarthy Gerrbrand Kisnorbo Hughes Williams Gudjonsson Smith Hammond Hume Subs: Douglas, De Vries, Stearman, Dublin, Hamill I must admit, I am a bit unsure at how well this team would do. It all centres on Williams having the game of his life in a deeper central midfield role. Think Kisnorbo is the best option at left-back with simple instructions to tackle, block and not push forward thus giving Smith the freedom not to track back so much. There's nothing much wrong with that thinking. I'm just not sure if Henderson is fit and available or whether Hammond, or Hume for that matter can play another game so soon after running themselves to a standstill against Millwall. martyn Posted 27 December 2005 Share Posted 27 December 2005 Henderson Stearman McCarthy Gerrbrand Maybury Hughes Williams Gudjonsson Smith Hume MdV Subs: Hammond, Dublin, Johansson, Kisnorbo, Douglas I put MdV in as I feel we may need someone to hold the ball up. Realistically, away from home at the runaway leaders, we won't have much of the ball and with Hume/Elvis upfront I can see the ball bouncing off them a fair bit. Sadly there is no way Kisnorbo will not be employed in a central midfield role.

martyn Posted 27 December 2005 Share Posted 27 December 2005 We all know he's limited but be fair, MdV's touch is one of the best parts of his game.
Cobbo Posted 27 December 2005 Share Posted 27 December 2005 We all know he's limited but be fair, MdV's touch is one of the best parts of his game. Certainly is. He has a great touch to be honest. I imagine he'll start anyway, Elvis was so shattered and got kicked all over the place.

Foxes 2 da grave Posted 27 December 2005 Share Posted 27 December 2005 You could say it's the only good part of his game if one of our strikers starts being special not just the glimpse of what could be i think the others will follow but they need more accurate service

Scow Posted 27 December 2005 Share Posted 27 December 2005 I'd say his 8 goals is another good part of his game 2 vs Blackpool (in the cup), Coventry, Sheffield Wednesday and one against Watford and Stoke doesn't suggest goalscoring is his strength. 6 goals in 15 league starts, 11 of those where he didn't score. Hmmmm.
