no doubt the cov fans will do that "mind the gap" chant to us..

mind least we can throw back them "have you ever seen Cov win the premier league?"... followed by "have you ever seen Cov play in the champions league?"

We’d have to go back in time and beat them at home.

My mistake, I thought we beat them this season.

Still looking at the stats we're well ahead.

A lot of Cov fans at work saying this is our 'cup final' because they're top of the league and suddenly that means the last 20/30 years history means nothing.

Ha I think its the opposite, they are desperately trying to get out of our shadow. Every time weve played them theyve been frothing at the mouth and raise their game considerably.

This year unfortunately we are bad enough that it could be 5 or 6-0 to them.

I know we were down to 10 but that second half at their place the other year was genuinely VILE.

Saying that, weren’t we fairly comfortable until someone made a mistake? I have tried to block that game out of my mind.

Yeah we were locked in defensively until 80 mins, got a feeling it was Hamza but might be wrong.

There seems to be more of a bite to playing these than Forest these days , that’s just my opinion

Nowhere near. Didn't even sell out when we played Cov and felt quite a normal lunch time kick off. Was on another level when we tanked Forest 4-0

Hi all it's that time again.

Things haven't gone to plan recently for us but there's reasons. Most of our attacking players have been injured with BTA still out. We had a flu bug hit most of the 1st team and also had suspensions to our defenders. All this when we had a hard run of games during November and December. But nearly everyone's back now and with a couple of additions.

Esse is very good. We are lucky Palace spent 35m for a player in his position making him available. For those who can't remember he was above most players at this level with Millwall, tempting Palace to pay 12.5m for him. He was very good against Stoke where we played a reserve side against a full strength Stoke. Happy to lose as don't want the extra games. We hit the woodwork twice and they got a wonder goal right at the end.

Our home form is solid although we lost last time at home to Ipswich. 9W 2 D 1D.

Slump? We've played nearly every top side away recently and now have the return games left. Not too worried as hardly anyone can put a run together, but also not too bothered where we finish. We only need a point a game to make the playoffs. Promotion can be good for financial reasons but also a disaster. It's taken us 25 years to get to this position since relegation from the Prem.

Should be an excellent atmosphere and other than Thomas out suspended for a couple more games we will field a strong side where most have been rested.

May the best side win.

Until we knew the extent of Ramsey’s injury I don’t think people had another attacking mid / right winger that high on our list compared to other positions, and Esse was already joining Cov when we found out Ramsey was out for a while

Had we known, I'm sure we would have moved very rapidly to beat Cov to his signature :crylaugh:

Like I said in my opinion , the 3-1 defeat last season didn’t even feel like a Derby , it’s definitely not on another level

For most it’s location, if you’re from South Leics , Coventry is the main one

Growing up Forest was the main one by a country mile , I don’t see that’s the case now

I don't know how you pick and choose a game and say this one didn't feel like a derby. I mean, the FA Cup game with them a few years ago at theirs had the biggest police presence I've ever seen around a city.

I think we will be forever debating who our main rival is because we are all so split on it. What I've never agreed with is how anyone says we don't have a rival. The rivalries against all three, or certainly Forest and Cob, are bigger than what some class as a rivalry.

I mean, clearly you’re going to win. I don’t think we exactly need 90 excruciating minutes (from our perspective) to know this.

Out of all the painful afternoons we’ve endured, from Swindon, to Watford to Cardiff, this will probably be one of the most painful afternoons in our history.

Because it will truly be a signal of how far we’ve fallen……

I ****ing hope so.

I saw a couple of gremlins wandering around my local Tesco yesterday in their Cov tops, with smug looks on their face….. instantly boiled my piss……

Would take a draw and middlesborough and Ipswich win to put a bit more pressure on them to see how they react. Shame we know once we go a goal down early in the match it will be way to easy for them
