I see the 'Ireland have always been Scotland's bogey team' bollocks has started again.

I thought a bogey team was when a weaker team had the beating of a better team when the reality is Ireland have simply been a better side than Scotland for the vast majority of the last 10-15 years or so.

Saturday's match should be interesting mind.

It should be a good game. Ireland have had 3 average performances and a very good one albeit against a poor England team. Likewise Scotland have had two world class performances and two very underwhelming ones. They have the chance to make history and my guess is that Scotland will come up short but I’d be delighted if they could beat Ireland which they definitely can.

Most of the narrative about Scotland has been insufferable for years.

Scotland under Toonie have been like the Czech Republic in football circa 2004. Entertaining, decent, strong enough to challenge some of the big guns but never going to actually win anything. Also see Tottenham under Poch.

Yet the press feel absolutely obligated to talk them up as potential dark horses every year, despite the fact they famously turn into papier mache every time they leave Murrayfield and have done for pretty much my entire lifetime.

Remind me, where are they playing Ireland? lol

After being busy on here yesterday thought Finners might fancy a day off today lol

I'm just lashing out. If I can't be happy, nobody else should be.

Weird rumour doing the rounds on twitter that Owen Farrell can qualify for Ireland in a years time and may do so

It's more of a meme than a rumour. Anyone believing it is a bit tapped.

It's people taking the piss out of the new eligibility laws that started in 2022.

You can swap once in your career (but not based on residency, family only) if you haven't represented your previous country for three years.

Fancy Ireland to beat us up in the  forwards today and win by the bonus point.

Wales to beat Italy, and I reckon England will keep it close and perhaps sneek a win.

France win by about hundred points and we get a bonus point win and we can all team up to give England the wooden spoon.

Cmon the dream is still alive.

I thought Finn Russell was a genius? He’s putting in an all time stinker here.

He's Scottish.

Playing at home, he's the love child of Dan Carter and Carlos Spencer trapped in Andy Goode's body.

On the road, he's Andy Goode trapped in Andy Goode's body.

Good match this. But Leicester are also winning - so this is me at the moment.
