Absolutely spot on and since making these cost saving decisions have spunked £42m in transfer fees on Coady, Winks & Skipp. Continued to shell out massive wages to Winks, Coady, Vestergaard, Soumare & Daka to the tune of £400k per week. 
 

Sigend absolute pony like VK, Ayew,  BDCR given contract extensions to the likes of Thomas, Choudhury and Vestergaard. Signed Eduarod on loan on massive wages and barely used him. 

And turned down offers for players like Iversen and Daka to let them leave for free or run contract down to be able to move for free. 
 

The list goes on and on and on, it’s utter incompetence, our wage to turn over ratio has been running at over 100% for each of the last 3 audited accounts, it’s irresponsible and not only has it led to a massive decline, 6 point deduction, potential relegation to league 1 but also left us on the brink of financial meltdown and who knows what next …..administration, and yet some still defend this regime and say be careful what you wish for, when will you be wake up and smell the coffee, because if this carries on this level of downward trajectory then it’s league one and the possibility our club could be in the hands of administrators by this time next year if not sooner.

this is a typical FA decision.

when teams are doing well take more points.

team close to relegation will be less.

 

The 3 points deductions Everton, Forest and Leicester. All three have caused 0 impact on the clubs. 
Forest 4 points so they do not go into relegation, we have 6 so stay outside relegation. Everton were doing well had 10 and no near relegation. 
FA want to appear to govern the game but lack in correct decision making.

Man City’s misdemeanours were over a number of years and go back to the period where we were promoted and then won the league.  That’s going to be quite a stretch for anyone to take a case on a specific season.

Agree with everything except for that Steve Cooper was sacked too early.

 

In the summer he was pushing for a £10 million loan for a finished Zaha, and we still signed load of terrible and expensive players for him.

 

If he had made it to the winter transfer window we would have had a 9-12 points deduction this season and more crap players that we would not be able to shift.

Just one incompetence after another. You can blame the usual suspects but we didn't learn to control the expectations after winning the League and again after the Cup - throwing good money after players who weren't good enough for the Prem. When you think of the quality we had when Puel left and now. Rodgers, Top and Rudkin - ruined the club.

In terms of squad costs the club should be over the hill and far away when it comes to facing  relegation. Falling  further was something I dismissed but looking at form alone I genuinely believe that it’s now more likely than not the club will be plying its trade in EFL 1 come season 26/27.
 

This saga, and that’s what it is, hasn’t come about because of a club claiming  ambition it’s down to incompetence and that for me shows no likelihood in ending any time soon. There’s an owner who clearly ignored advice from in-house financial “ experts”.

 

I am not surprised at when  the numbers were laid bare but what do they say about when you are in a hole ? Had the club come out yesterday and taken it on the chin then maybe I personally would be able to view things a little bit softer but when the club almost snubs its nose then sorry I can’t view it ant other way than the club , no Top, got what he deserved the fans don’t deserve it and whilst I am always mindful of the the adage “ Be careful what you wish for” at this time I genuinely wonder if anything could be worse.

It doesn’t say when this happened. I’d guess at it being BEK, makes you wonder why he was selected.

 

It obviously could be Winks before the Sheff U game, but the same would apply. I suspect Marti wanted to banish them to the U23s and was told he wasn’t allowed as they needed to be in the shop window.
