Hello all Foxes.

I first posted my idea back in February. Since then, Rowett has taken over and we seem to have gone from bad to worse as he's proving to be absolutely clueless like the others.

Would be great to take the consortium idea forward. It's not about money at this stage. It's seeing how many think it's a good idea and then we can consider the next step.

The chairman deciding to stay away from our last home defeat to Swansea just about sums up the club's predicament. To the board it's just a business to make money out of the fans. Nothing more.

There's no passion or soul attached to LCFC from the hierarchy. Sure, we have a brilliant training ground. But it would have been better to have stayed at Belvoir Drive and invest all that money in two or three  experienced, decent players/and/or a decent, experienced manager.

So it's time for change. A radical change.

Let's seriously think about taking action, consortium wise. If we can get the momentum going, things will happen. I am sure of it.

Can you explain to me how and where the owners have been making money from the fans.  KP may be incompetent owners but they have been funding the losses, how do you propose a consortium of fans owning the club would do that.

a consortium?  to buy the club - well the clubs value (although varies) is listed at approx £650m so you just need to get every season ticket holder to chip in 30 grand or so and you might be on to something

If it is more about fan action and a voice - then I would suggest swinging your support behing the Foxes Trust might be a better way to go

I am a businessman as well as a supporter. Football is a loss making business so any consortium unless bought out of administration needs deep pockets. Happy to talk.

They have created the losses.

When this goes into administration somebody will be picking it up for not very much money I'd imagine. We will probably be in league 2 and playing kids and Seagrave will be a ruin.

Maybe but in general football clubs don’t make money, in the last run of financials I think it was only 4 teams out of the 96 to actually post a profit

Too soon wait a few years and it'll be a lot cheaper.

I'm not doubting you, but £650m seems very high.

Most don't go from Premier League champions with a huge outgoing to League 1 in 10 years

You need at least 450 to buy Top out then 100 to run the business so nearer 550 is my estimate. That’s assuming you try to buy now which no one with any sense will do.

no idea how accurate, but it was the figure that came up after a bit of digging. I imagine it's not too far off and probably includes any debts or future liablities as well as the price of the club

Either way, I suspect any fans consortium is probably going to come up a bit short!

How does that answer my question?  Whilst not completly discounting administration I see no signs of the owners pulling the plug and until that happens it is very unlikley to happen.

The point is that any consortium or person would be picking up a club worth vastly less than it is now and with much smaller costs.

A consortium doesn't have to be Dave and John from down the pub.

Only if they go into administration and I don't see that happening anytime soon.

This chat is looking for a fans consortium,  which would suggest to me that the OP was looking for Dave and John.  In any case whoever comes in will have to be willing to suffer losses as nearly all owners of football have to.

How do we know they haven't been making money from the fans? There are ways and means. But I take your point

Strength in numbers everyone. The owners won't want to stick around if they are made to feel unwanted in every way. Don't under estimate fan power

Of course they have been making money off fans. Just because they are commercially illiterate and couldn't post a profit if their lives depended on it the P&L would look a damn site worse with no fan money.

If you throw in corporate fans as well.

They totally misuse the money and overspend elsewhere but they definitely make money from fans.

If I had £500m lying around  I would be enjoying my life somewhere else and definately not investing it in this football club!
