Martin has a great PR machine, backed up by Guardiola patting him on the head after beating him, and therefore the idiots in charge think he is perfect for the job. It's not just the PR Machine. Martin was a Jason Wilcox appointment at Southampton. Wilcox left City Group to take the job at Southampton. While McCarron's early career was managed in effect by Wilcox. Martin got himself in with the right crowd. That's very buzzy. Wilcox really for his job hopping has proven pretty crap at his job which now includes making Man United very average.

So out of those 12 teams with at least 50% most possession, which is half the league, there are only 3 in the top 6 (Wednesday, Stockport, Bradford). There are two sides currently in the relegation zone (Doncaster, Wigan) And we're 18th so not far off. On the other hand Burton Albion are 5th yet have seen only 44.6% possession and Huddersfield are 2nd with 47.4%. Take it as you will.... All this possession based nonsense. 1

I would say there's nothing wrong with his clothes if he was a teenage barista working in an expensive coffee house but I don't think the baggy casual fit is how a Leicester City manager should dress IMO. Doesn't say anything really because I thought Pep dressed like a prat at Man City and he's the best manager the world has ever seen. I'd just prefer it if there were some sort of standards with regards to how Leicester players and managers dressed. I liked it when we asked players to turn up in suits for example. Didn't mean we played better or anything. It just gave a bit more prestige to the name Leicester City. 3

Your points are fair enough if that's what you're into, but my initial comment was aimed more at people saying he looks scruffy in general. He doesn't.

I wouldn't exactly call him well dressed, would you? Sort of clothes i'd paint the house in. 2 1

Should I ever venture down Filbert Way again, I’ll keep my eyes peeled for someone who dresses like him and know it’s you 3

Popular Post Les-TA-Jon Posted 10 September Popular Post Posted 10 September Are there seriously grown adults on this forum who give a flying **** what RM dresses like? He can wear a potato sack for all I care. I'm only bothered by how he gets us playing and what the results are. 7

I'd say he doesn't look homeless because he's a relatively good looking bloke with a well kept beard and hairstyle. I'd suspect that if you put those clothes on someone with no teeth and shit hair/beard, they'd look homeless.
teblin Posted 10 September Posted 10 September Only reason this clothes thing is picked up is because of his poor record. Let's concentrate on football, rather than personal attack. Anyway, he might be on his way to the fanclub. 1

Why are you here discussing Russell Martin's coaching ability and the results he's getting when we're in a world with much more important things to worry about like the current geopolitical and geoecomonic landscape, the climate change crisis and the rise of rogue artificial intelligence technologies?? 1
Silva Fox Posted 10 September Posted 10 September Threads gone hot for a bloody fashion discussion! 1
